Re: 2023 - One of the best in our history??
Results wise, it's hard to argue with any calendar year that contains a trophy! The mood around the club at times has soured it slightly but what other years could feasibly beat it? At least nothing in the 30-something years I've been alive anyway!

Re: FIFA 23
I realised I get EA Play through Gamepass so downloaded it for the 10 hours. Feels better than FIFA 22 did at this stage, passing and movement off the ball a lot better but yes very slow and feels like gravity is turned up. I’ll play it a bit more, but struggling to see it is worth £60. It is agoni...

Re: FIFA 23
Tried the 10 hour trial on EA Play for 79p and just don't bother. It's the worst one yet. They've changed up a lot to be fair to them but the game plays more like that terrible game PES became when it went free-to-play. It is genuine garbage and I want my 79p back

Re: What are you playing right now?
Finally giving Death Stranding a go on PS Plus. I think it gets being confusing mixed up with being interesting a bit too often but generally it's a good game. It's nice to play something that kinda steers away from all the more generic open world games we've had over the past few years. You can tel...

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window
The signing of Lingard last January proved to be one that helped us regain our momentum and push on for a European spot. We're starting to falter slightly so I'm praying for a repeat, whether it be Lingard or someone new!

Re: ⚽ Manchester Utd vs West Ham Utd: match thread
If I'm being honest with myself, I know this'll be a loss but something about this West Ham does keep that glimmer of hope alive. Losing to Saints and Leeds but winning at Old Trafford would be the most West Ham thing I can think of
2-1 loss but giving it a damn good go.

Re: ⚽ Genk vs West Ham Utd: match thread
It'll be the same plan as usual imo. Rest a few players with a few first teamers Nipple Johnson - Dawson - Diop - Cresswell Soucek - Rice Yarma - Lanzini - Bowen Antonio (Maybe Bowen if rested and put Vlasic in midfield) It would be good to see players like Fredericks and even Noble if they're fit a...

Re: Match #51 THE FINAL England v Italy. (8pm, Sunday 11th July)
This whole tournament, we've been singing 'it's coming home' as kind of a joke. It's a really self deprecating song and it always had a hint of just having fun with it. Now we've done well, we're kind of lost! Is it actually coming home now? Reckon we're in for a boring 1-0 game with Italy nicking i...

Re: Match #50/SF: England v Denmark (8pm, Wednesday 7th July)
It feels so strange to be nervous before an England game. Usually I couldn't care less!
Going 2-1 England in extra time but the people thinking this'll be easy will be in for a shock. Denmark are more than capable of beating us.

Re: Match #43/R16: England vs Germany (5pm, Tuesday 29th June)
5 at the back is fine with me, it's a lot more attacking than it sounds anyway. Fullbacks are where we are excelling right now so getting them involved is a good thing imo. Saka or Foden is an interesting one though. Foden is clearly the better player but the running that Saka provides could be cruc...

Re: Match #43/R16: England vs Germany (5pm, Tuesday 29th June)
We have a huuuge opportunity to take down a big team who aren't perhaps at their best and have a great chance to get far in this tournament with some big favourites dropping already. I've been disappointed when we've gone out before but I think this would be the worst. Not because I expect us to win...

Re: Match #12: France v Germany (8pm, Tuesday 15 June)
This is the fixture I've most been looking forward in the group stages, that whole group is mental and I'm hyped for it. It's a shame that potentially all 3 of France, Portugal, and Germany could go through as it would make the stakes so much higher if one definitely had to go out. Predicting France...

Re: Home Nations Support
I will be supporting all the home nations who are at the Euros, except when they play England of course. I was actually really happy when the Welsh beat Belgium a few years ago. I've never subscribed to this whole rivalry thing tbh. I'm sure people have their reasons for disliking the other home nat...

Re: ENGLAND vs CROATIA - 13.06.21 - 1400
Croatia are still a very good team and their experience cannot be underestimated. Plus, we really don't know what version of England will turn up this time either so putting on a good performance and showing we can be a contender would be great to see. Still predicting a 2-0 loss. I know I shouldn't...

Re: Euro 2020 - Who Wins?
The potential is always there but in this competition, the top 2 teams go through along with 4 of the 6 teams which finish 3rd. If we don't make it through that then something has gone severely wrong.

France for me but Italy also have a good chance. England to reach the quarters but go out to France which is not an embarrassment by any means.

Re: Lingard OUT
The game was drab but it was a pre-tournament friendly so not too concerned. I'm more confused by the formation really, it seemed a little all over the place.
Lingard looked good though and always on the move. Having an attacking midfielder pushing the team forward does make a difference.

Re: England squad for the Euros
That doesn't just make you safe from all criticism. Germany won the world cup in 2014 but failed to get out the group stage in 2018. You think Joachim Löw was never criticised just because they had done well in 2014?Daniel1895 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 03, 2021 10:36 am 2018 has been forgotten quickly by the ones questioning Southgate.

Re: England squad for the Euros
The selection of TAA being justified by people saying he can play CM is lunacy. If that was the reason then surely just select a CM? Especially as TAA doesn't play there at a top-level and just forcing players to play out of their natural position at a major tournament sounds like a disaster waiting...

Re: Lingard OUT
Lingard isn’t our player, he was loaned to us, he is a man u player so i don’t really see why it concerns us? I’m more concerned about declan either leaving or getting severely injured. Even though he isn't a West Ham player, the fans have grown to love him and want him to do well. Plus his form fo...
