Re: ✍ Welcome to West Ham, Said Benrahma
It's starting to reach the same kind of situation that we had with Masuaku. Villified by some, defended blindly by others, I'm just tired of seeing his name come up again and again. My own opinion? He's just too slow to be the player that he wants to be. A lack of pace as a forward in the Premier Le...

Obviously disgusting, but what would be the crime here? Genuinely curious.

This man's resurgence brings me great joy. Go on, Vlad! A proper West Ham player who never goes hiding, even through injuries and dips in form. Absolute bargain.

Cornet doesn't even make the bench? Ouch. What on earth has gone wrong with him here?

****. I'd convinced myself that we'd sold him.

Re: ✍ Thilo Kehrer
I'm going to stick my neck out here and say that he's going to turn things around. He has been dreadful recently, but I can't help but feel that there's something there. Definitely needs a spell on the sidelines, but I'm hoping that he has the character to take stock and turn things around.

Re: ⚽ Arsenal vs West Ham United: match thread
Is anyone else really not excited for this match? Normally after a long period with no West Ham games I get that buzz for kick off, but I'm not feeling much of anything this time around. A sad indictment of how dull we've been to watch for a while, I think.

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
He has a lot of work to do. And on himself, rather than the squad. His mindset needs to change and it's whether he can bring himself to do that this late in his professional life. But I'm rooting for him. He's given us so many great memories and he absolutely deserves the full season to turn this sh...

He's our Wes Brown/John O'Shea. If you compete regularly in European competition, you need players like him. Competent back up who will never truly be first choice.

Re: ✍ Flynn Downes
I know that this seems like a lazy comparison, but he does genuinely remind me of Noble in his prime. Very passionate, a clever, simple passer of the ball and a bit of aggression in him too. I really like him and I suspect that he will be a starter for us with time. And I bloody love having a West H...

Re: ✍ Thilo Kehrer
I thought that he was very decent today. But I seem to have an odd desire for him to do well. There's certain signings that you just take to for some reason and he's one of them. I had the same thing with Soucek when he signed!

I bloody love Moyes, but he does baffle me at times. 5 at the back? Why? When has that ever worked?

I'm going to make a bold prediction:
Of all the players that we've signed this summer, he will have the biggest impact. I think that we've found ourselves a proper bargain here.

Josh Cullen started consistently for Anderlecht in his time there and he is/was stunningly average. I'm not worried.

A good analysis of his time at Flamengo and the type of player we can expect. He will have obviously improved and matured in the time elapsed since, too!

Re: Angelo Ogbonna
He was our best defender last season before his injury. Better than Zouma. Absolutely ridiculous that people were writing him off- I bet he plays a major role in our Premier League and European campaigns this season. Everyone looks so much calmer when he's playing. He's also an absolutely tremendous...

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2022.
Ibrahim Sangare is an excellent footballer. We'd be very lucky to have him- I think that he displaces Soucek in the first eleven fairly quickly.
