Re: If there was no West Ham ?

I'd follow Crewe, I already go there more than west ham anyway!! A young team, like to play the right way and I can have a whole day out there for what it cost me to get the train down to London. In terms of top level football, if west ham weren't around I'd just support whoever Liverpool, Spurs, Sh...

Re: Who will be Mark Noble´s long term successor?

It won't be Rice, he's too good.

I love Nobes but his replacement will have to be someone like him who comes through the ranks but isn't quite good enough to play for Man City or Arsenal.

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager

Oxford made 6 changes of their own.

Our fringe player should be better. If Pellegrini can't trust them to beat Oxford then they should be cleared out immediately.

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager

He is playing percentages. We may not like it, but I can understand it. We had Allardyce to do that for us. I expected better of this bloke. I think hes a good manager but I don't understand his attitude to the cups. I don't give two shits if we finish 7th or 9th or 12th...I want to win something!!!

"VAR in not a silver bullet shocker"

All your doing is moving the decision from the numpty on the pitch to a numpty in the stands somewhere.

I can see a lucrative property deal being possible. Gigg Lane is in a really nice spot...

In fairness to the chairman, he said the club's debts have been slashed from £10m when he took over to £3m now...

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread

Rondon over Mitrovic any day. Fitter, works MUCH harder, better goalscoring record at Premier League level, less prone to committing stupid fouls, better attitude, better in the air & has proven himself as a lone front man which is exactly what we need, especially away from home.

Dave, I make you spot on in what you say. The only thing was your assessment of Wolves. They are mega rich & have Jorge Mendes in their corner attracting top Portuguese talent. They, along with Leicester & Everton are our main competition for 7th next season.

Re: New rules for next season

The only way I'd approve an extra sub being used is if the 4th sub is a youth player (say under 21 y/o). The biggest improvement would be if a player goes down 'injured' he has to get to his feet within 3 seconds or he has to leave the pitch for two minutes to fully treat his 'injury'. Would stop al...

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread

We need a big striker, preferably one with proven Premier League pedigree.

Giroud or Rondon would be nice.

Also, I've said it before but we should go for Che Adams from Birmingham. A direct replacement & massive upgrade for Hugill in the squad.

If they chuck City out then surely PSG must go too?? Their business model looks even more financially suicidal than any club in the world's!!

Mind you PSG aren't from the hated English league so maybe not... :thdn:

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager

This summer is a massive one for Pellegrini. The recruitment has to be spot on, as has the removal of the deadwood. A lot of it is out of his hands though. He needs a proper budget to work with...can we trust the board to deliver??

Re: Week's other games (4-10/05/19)

Having lived in the area or within a 20mile radius of Liverpool land for the past 20 years I can safely say that we will NEVER hear the end of this. Along with many others I'm praying for a man City / ajax double now. I was really confident barca would go thru tonight but I've had a bad feeling abou...

Re: Transfer news and rumours

We should be going for youth & speed this summer.

Che Adams from Birmingham looks a good player & Daniel James of Swansea. A premier league club will take punts on both of these players very soon, we should get in there for both!!
