Re: Pablo Zabaleta: two-year contract signed

He's having a renaissance year. Very positive, overlapping runs and solid defense. Whatever his fitness program is for someone coming here as "damaged goods" , it's working for him.

That is not luck, nor even poor shooting, but great organisation, positioning and acute anticipation from your goalkeeper. ..... ....Only the top goalkeepers possess this talent and that is why it is important not to look on in awe at your keeper leaping about his goal making flying saves, but...

Re: Felipe Anderson

His confidence is growing each game. Very few hit the ground running when coming in from another league.

We could stand to move better off the ball when he's dribbling, rather than hanging back and watching him take on 2 or 3 players.

In a meaningless tune-up for the game that mattered, where they won 4-0.
We lost to the Seattle Sounders something like 3 to nil. But I'd reckon if the game mattered for both squads, the result would be different.

Re: Women's team

I'm really not sure that's necessary. It's not that rare to get women around the 6 foot mark, if you watch women's tennis, for example, loads of the top players are in that area, Sharapova is 6 foot 2 and not regarded as freakishly tall. As you said it is chicken and egg. Any 6'+ woman with decent ...

Oh I'm not doubting your question. In fact, I agree with you on once you're entrenched in the system, why pull out?

Didn't Cahill have issues doing this for Australia after playing games as a tiny boy for Samoa? Or was changing the rules for him getting out of it what has led to all of this now?

Every other thread is lamenting our lack of pace down the middle yet here we are pining for Ginge back.

Great shot stopper and warrior. But even on his day, he's left for dead in a foot race.

Enjoy the memories and wish him well wherever he settles.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2018- 52 days remaining

He'd be a luxury asset more than anyone to rely on for a run of games.

If we got him on a low-risk contract, yes. Since we picked up AC in 2012, he's only played about a dozen more games than Carroll has over the same time period.

Re: Tony Henry - "We don't want anymore Africans"

It's clumsy, it's ignorant and yes, it's racist. There's no way he was acting completely on his own with this view for recruitment.

This club continues to embarrass like no other.
