Antonio appears to be getting criticised because people are angry we havent signed another striker.

Not sure it's his fault
You are totally right - he wouldn’t have scored so many goals however had we had another decent striker

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

21 goals and 10 assists in 60 games for Arnautovic 28 goals and 14 assists in 72 games for Antonio. Works out better in Antonio's favour. Yeah but look at the quality of team they were playing in and the chances that team would provide that striker. Arnie would have had a laugh in this side… but th...

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

It's a touch unfair to have someone doing it and performing, then just say "well blah blah would have." Others haven't, many have failed When have we ever been in the situation before where we were totally reliant on one striker? We’ve always had a few to rotate when they break down menta...

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

One is our record Premier League goalscorer, the other is ifs and buts. If anyone thinks this is the argument around a striker, or Moyes's reason for not buying another, you're on one. Antonio statistically better on shot creation, defending from the front. Antonio last two seasons and Arnie's two ...

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

He's a striker now. He's been better than any striker we've had for so long and better as a striker than ever as a winger. He's only a winger when we're bemoaning lack of strikers! Bowen is Son, Vlasic is Bergwijn (in answer to Hammerman making decisions on who counts as strikers for argument's sak...

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

Not that bothered about transfers today after hearing the news about Isla Caton. Life is outrageously cruel. How anyone can say there’s a supreme being somewhere when children suffer and die from cancer I’ll never know. Would rather end up in hell than worship a **** like that anyway. RIP I hadn’t ...

I'm all for signing a striker but lets drill down into this expel S-H thing and make sure it's watertight before we rush into any signings we may regret. Maybe we'll be ok to go another six months without reinforcements.
For sure - I’m all for relegation if it means getting shot of him.

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

So the options now seem to be

1, DCL
2, Schick
3, Someone
4, No one

I think option 4 seems the most likely.

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

So what will be the reason DCL won’t sign?

1, Too much transfer fee
2, Too bigger wages
3, Doesn’t fancy West Ham
4, David Moyes uncertain
5, better offer elsewhere

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

Not sure it matters now - I can’t see us making up the six points we’ve dropped in the last two games. Might as well sell Rice and Bowen and be done with it - let’s just relax and settle back into mid table obscurity. (We will be knocked out of the 2 cups in the next games) West Ham aren’t massive a...
