I don't know much about Piatek at all but from what I'm reading on the net, he's a fox in the box type. Does he have much in the way of pace? Because that's what we're missing.
He's a Lewandowski lite. In almost every regard I'd say. So no, not particularly quick.

The problem with Piatek is having to see that absolutely guff shooting gun celebration when he scores.
I have a feeling we'll hate it a whole lot less when it's done celebrating a West Ham goal.

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

Fjthegrey - fair point. To me he seemed so comfortable in that role and was getting better - it make some sense to move him to defensive midfield as it doesn't seem a stretch but it clearly has been. His passing is very limited and occasionally dangerous, not to fast overground and caught out a lot...

Sean Wetblanket, who recently claimed that our owners, and by association Brady, had delivered on every single one of the 10 points they set out to upon taking us over.

The blokes thinking is about as joined up as Sullivan's transfer plans.

With you Rozzop - to be honest someone has to have to courage to tell him he is a brilliant centre back but a piss average midfielder
What are you basing your claims that he's a brilliant centre back on?

So, It looks like we will be starting next season in The Championship with a 12 point deduction for going into administration. The best thing that can happen to us
It's nowhere near this level.

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

Every year, in every transfer window, many of us suggest that the club ought to be getting transfers over the line as close to the opening of the windows as possible. Every year, in every transfer window, many other fans suggest that the window is long and that there is plenty of time to get things...

The near £55mil in unsecured loans from the Directors @4.25% int look a big noose to me.

Repayment date for those loans in 1/1/2024. Visible exit timetable right there.

Re: Let's Not Talk About Football ...

I work in an office with 3 other women. The youngest of them is 55. I am 32. I've just told them about this article and read some of the sweeping generalizations out loud. They then proceeded to talk about the FA Cup games from this weekend for about 10 minutes. I've never had a conversation with th...

Re: Let's Not Talk About Football ...

'Laddish' behaviour. An inherently sexist term that I take offence to. The implication that my gender is in any way relative to the types of conversation I do, or do not have with colleagues at work is a very direct assault on my character and freedoms. Similarly the term 'laddish' is negatively con...

Re: West Ham Utd v Liverpool: match thread

everyone is expecting either a caning or a miracle, i think it'll be a fairly routine 0-2. we'll hold out long than most predict, they'll get the first before half time and the second shortly after. Yep, I agree. This will be utterly joyless for both teams. A routine, unremarkable win for them with...

Re: West Ham Utd v Liverpool: match thread

Got a feeling if this gets bad the stadium will turn real toxic and real quick as well. Burnley level stuff will happen again We know we are going to lose but if its 6-0 at half time GSB won't be in the stadium and will make a escape Nah, not this game. Nobody is expecting anything, nobody is under...

How is Anderson not considered part of that first group? He's rapid.

Out of the rest of them, I think Ogbonna would surprised a few on a straight line race.

Re: Security checks means I'm missing kick off

They're so cursory that they're essentially pointless.

If something genuinely bad involving a weapon happened in the stadium, wouldn't the fact that the security checks failed be even worse for the club?
