Re: Meat Loaf RIP

What an absolute gangster of a bloke.

I can't imagine there's anyone with a bad word to say about him.

My blood pressure was 102/67, so that was fine!

Re: The Physical Health Thread

Yeah, the consultant said the operation didn't need doing or that what they were going to do would be pointless, even though I'd gone through all the rigmarole of pre op assessment, covid testing, etc. Not related to the heart rate at all but it just seemed like they were ready to send me on my way ...

Re: The Physical Health Thread

34, do exercise every day, no other symptoms.

They didn't seem bothered but then, I was about to have an operation that they literally cancelled on the day.

Re: The Physical Health Thread

Had some measurements taken yesterday.

According to the hospital my resting heart rate is 47bpm.

I'm pretty fit but was surprised at this number, they took it twice and was the same both times.

What else could this mean other than I've got a strong heart?

Unless there's a photo of you holding it, I wouldn't be admitting I had my phone in my hand to anybody.

Pretty amazing. Definitely pushing me towards an Xbox when I eventually upgrade, if Diablo 4 ends up exclusive as well as Starfield.

Re: Netflix and Amazon Video

Tony is just an insufferable prick at this point as well ain't he. Not many of the people in his life would be prepared to tolerate the unrelenting misanthropy he's regressed back into during these first two episodes. I'm fairly confident it's an unsubtle setup to another lightbulb awakening where h...

He's the most entertaining thing in the GD currently. Don't get rid yet.
Really? His 'deliberately take the most negative and contrarian view he can find' playbook is about as dull as it comes.

Re: Netflix and Amazon Video

Yep, I've done two episodes and it felt tired. Run out of ideas, emotional stuff feels circular and repetitive and isn't hitting for me at all, jokes are sparce, non-sequitur 90% of the time and can certainly be accused of punching down even more than is usual for Gervais. Not sure I'll bother with ...

We need to start taking those easier chances today and not making unnecessary hard work of it as we did in the last two games.
We don't need to. It's perfectly fine to win the way we have been.

It'd be nice though.

Re: Welcome, Jarrod Bowen

So if we have no ambition, then he needs to go to a club that does We're fourth in the league, in the Europa league last 16 and likely the last 16 of the FA cup. We also knocked out two of the biggest teams in the world in another cup competition this season. I mean, Liverpool is clearly a step up ...

Re: ✍ Alex Král

I'm just going to assume this bloke has looked as pony in training for us as he did at the Euro's, and is not going to be a West Ham player beyond this season. I think if we had any intention of keeping him we'd have seen him a bit more than we have. Squad status = emergency backup, David Martin lev...
