Re: Portsmouth V West Ham match thread

Agreed. Diamanti was shocking tonight and should've been taken off when Cole came on, with Nouble staying on the field. Pompey were absolute turd until we started sitting back and let them back into it. Some other points... . Noble looked better in a more withdrawn role. He just doesn't have the ga...

Re: The big Mark Noble debate...

He's never, at any point in his West Ham career, been our best passer or most creative player. For a start, both Nigel Quashie and Jack Collison are better passers of a football and one of them doesn't even play. Stats don't lie. They don't tell the whole truth but they certainly knock any suggesti...

Re: The big Mark Noble debate...

It's no good having a hard working player, but who's ability's really are'nt up to the job in hand. He can run for 90 mins, but if he keeps on giving balls away, all that hard work amounts to nothing. There's a difference between slating someone and being realistic The thing is, this thread was sta...

From almost the first kick he looked unbelievably leggy. Strange performance.

Re: West Ham Utd v Portsmouth: match thread

Collison is going through a terrible confidence crisis at the moment, it's quite obvious if you know the tell tale signs. I feel sorry for him because too many football fans will just say he's lazy or needs to move to another club. I think Collison will get the support he deserves thankfully. I don...

Re: The big Mark Noble debate...

Agreed. I was pleased to see Noble actually playing like a Premier League standard footballer yesterday. He usually puts about 2-5 decent performances in each season lately, so let's hope he can maintain a steady run of form. Our midfield looked much more like a unit yesterday with Noble finally pu...

Re: The big Mark Noble debate...

Twit? At least call me a c*** or something a bit more manly! Stats do nothing for me old son. I make up my own mind with watching players on the pitch, not through stats on websites or in the papers. If I remember rightly, Hayden Mullins was one of the best players in the league if you bared ...

Re: The big Mark Noble debate...

True. But don't let facts get in the way, like. That's rich. You're the twit who claims Noble, i.e. statistically our most active, acurate and progressive passer, is the anonymous man in our midfield who lets every game pass him by. Even when he does take games by the scruff off the nec...

Re: The big Mark Noble debate...

We look so much more dangerous without this fella in the side. We've been banging them in since he's be benched. Collison is allowed a role that suits him much better when Noble doesn't play. Barring injuries, I can't see Zola starting with Noble for a while to come. I knew I was right. 8-) You're ...

**** sake I actually feel as down now as I did after the Hull game

5-0 up, looked like getting a record result only to ****ing collapse again. Lucky to get the 3 points in the end as absurd as it sounds.

Those two goals have really taken the shine off this lead. Still, 5-2 is a great result! 10 minutes ago it was looking like it could be a 6-0 win though
