Re: ⚽ Manchester City v West Ham United: Match thread (09/02)

Is this a good thing for us? I think it is. Will give the new lads time to bed in. Can also put off the depression that follows the inevitable drubbing.

EDIT: Obviously it’s b@llsh#t for anyone who has travelled up for it. There’s been a weather warning in place since midweek.

Re: ⚽ Manchester City v West Ham United: Match thread (09/02)

Cant see Pep allowing another defeat and I fear we’ll get well beaten on the backlash. On the positive side, Zinchenko is now definitely out and Sterling looks doubtful after picking up and injury today.

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

Really can't see us laying out the price quoted, and with his size you wonder if he's suited to the Premier League, but you can see some logic in bringing in Nandez. He certainly looks like he'd bring a bit of energy and fight to the midfield. The question is, having brought in Soucek, would that mo...

Re: West Ham Utd v Liverpool: match thread

Also why risk giving a debut to a youngster at wing back when you could have just gone four at the back with cresswell and masuaku? With Diop and ogbonna. Anyway no use moaning. Will watch this car crash unfold safe in the knowledge GSB’s empire is slowly crumbling from beneath their feet, and aunt...

Scored the winner for Celtic against Lazio the other week, but he's the definition of inconsistent. Don't think their fans would miss him at all.

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

I wonder how much money we still owe to other clubs for players signed in the past 18 months ? I wonder whether our wage bill has really shrunk to the extent many seem to believe it has ? If only the club ould publish the accounts for the 2018/19 season we might have a better idea. What is Sullivan...

Balbuena used to look reasonably assured but he’s gone to pieces lately. It’s like half the team has the footballing equivalent of PTSD.

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

Often wonder who puts together these "Skills , Goals , Assists" videos on YouTube and whether they're agent-led. Either way, the person who put together the first minute or two of this "highlights" reel isn't doing Fofana any favours. Fluffed shots, teammates having a go at him - its actually pretty...

Echoing what others have said, but it’s really sad to see what’s happened to Lanzini.

Both Tielimens and Madison were both achievable signings for us at one point...

You knew exactly what was coming when Moose lied in his opening statement about West Ham's place in the Deloitte money list. "Top ten" he said.

We're 18th.

Enjoyed DG lamenting the loss of the Upton Park khazis though.
Borderline propaganda. Absolutely infuriating.

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

I don't think this is even close. Randolph has never been successful at the top level. Adrian has been a successful in La Liga, been successful for us for several seasons under Allardyce, and has played fully 50% of the fixtures for the team that's currently 16 points ahead in the league. Easy to d...

Everyone can relax re Fernandez.

Allen is purely a back up - ie way back in the queue, expect three signings provided the dwarf can get 'his' deals over the line.
Reckon we’re selling anyone Pezza?

All sounds good... But he isn't available for loan and would cost real money
Yep. Along with chesting abilities, that’s another factor I should have considered. This is why these sort of decisions are made by experienced great minds like Sullivan Jr and not the likes of me.

Fernandes is now being linked with Wolves, we're still being linked to Barbosa, but Zico has told the Brazilian media that he shouldn't sign for us because we never amount to anything.
F@&k Zico. I was always a Socrates kind of guy myself.

But if we have the opportunity to buy the player, with the best chest control in world football, instead, we'd be mad to pass on it, surely?
There is that I guess.

Good upper body skills = season ticket sales / stadium naming rights.

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

Just buy Sander Berge and be done. Bloke won’t likely need bedding in and would complement Rice and add a bit of energy.
Just feels like it’s a transfer staring us in the face, what with his past links.

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

Anyone noticed how bad Sky Sports News has gotten lately? They now continually make stuff up regarding transfers - probably in large part because the last few windows have been non-events and they need to create some narratives. At least their reporting was somewhat rooted in fact in the past. And d...
