Re: ✍️ Welcome Lucas Paquetá
The simple point really is that we are in the **** this season, and as our highest paid player and a player that actually carries some value he needs to perform for us. For whatever reason he just hasn't over the time he's been here in the main, im not even sure inconsistent covers it, so its time t...

Re: Sullivan, Brady and the Late David Gold
Big Sam gave a couple of loose lipped interviews around 5 years after getting fired by the club, nothing to harsh but “gifts from the chairman” and similar comments about interference from the board followed. - I remember at the time comments being made about his nda being up. Pretty sure it's a mi...

Re: Sullivan, Brady and the Late David Gold
Avram was a disaster really, however there are ways to behave and our classless owners were as disastrous.
Well done to Scotty Parker.

Re: Trump
What did you read? There's like 20,000 documents.. There's a lot there, even though it's not all about Trump himself. For example, there are numerous examples that demonstrate the Ghislane Maxwell lied in her "interview" with the Deputy AG. Subsequent to that interview, she was transferre...

Re: January 2026 Transfer Thread
100% Stevey. So many are more concerned with any potential recouping than current (or in this case 2 years ago) success on the field. I know the 2 can go hand in hand, but signing Zouma for the fee we paid for him was one of the best bits of business we have ever done! :muscle: Absolutely bang on.

Re: January 2026 Transfer Thread
Agreed. Many of our most disastrous transfers in recent years, from both a footballing and a financial perspective, were on players with PL experience - £142m in transfer fees alone on Kilman, JWP, Zouma, Vlasic and Ings. £8m (so far) recouped, and very unlikely to be much more. The only one of tho...

Re: January 2026 Transfer Thread
Cresswell also played in the prem. Only 5 games but having grown up in England I’m sure he’s more than aware of what the prem is like. I also don’t get the fascination with “prem proven”. Every transfer can fail it doesn’t matter where they have played. But its a game of probabilities isn't it. Wit...

Re: January 2026 Transfer Thread
I just can't see it myself. Tax laws would mean he'd have to return a fair chunk of the £400k p/w he's on in Saudi. I'm not sure Tuchel ever rated Toney so an England call up also remains unlikely in my opinion. This seems like a gamble Toney won't make, unless he is really hating life out there. I...

Re: January 2026 Transfer Thread
I’ll add to that with some stuff I’ve read
Solomon as a potential bid
Steinden to Wolfsburg which may mean BFG there (also read wolves and Fulham potentially)
Arteta has bloked Gabriel Jesus leaving
Lucas has a verbal agreement with Flanengo at the end of the season
Nothing anywhere about Neves
