Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

Origi might be okay, I just don't see how he'd trade Liverpool's bench for ours, and he hasn't been a first team starter in 6 years, it's almost impossible to know his actual quality. If there is any indication of Broja's interest I'd try to bring a body like Maja in for the season and throw the si...

A buy back clause should be first refusal, not a mandatory sale fee.

I am basing this on absolutely nothing, but I reckon Lingard joins after we've played that lot from the north.

Re: Sonny Perkins

I wonder if Moyes bringing a 17 year old Perkins on wasn't a hint to certain people of the urgency of signing an alternative to Antonio? Is there a player identified in the background that we do not know about that has a high price tag that some people are not keen on paying for? I may be adding 2 ...

Desperate clubs act quicker because they overspend.

Trippier's wages are eye-watering.

Digne's fee was a bit steep and his wages are ridiculous too, and Coutinho is a complete punt.

It's easy to make signings when you're happy to over pay on fees and wages.
Villa aren't / weren't desperate!

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

Martial refused to play or even to be on the bench for a game of football..? He's a footballer being paid 300k pw to play football ffs... I don't like Man U but I hope they dock Martial at least a months for being a dick... Footballers take the p!ss, in any other walk of life that'd be a gross misc...

Sorry that was a grammatical misunderstanding.

I was commenting on how few traditional strikers are scoring lately and listing those three as the only three traditional strikers who are scoring goals.
Vardy and Wilson have both been / are injured as has Lukaku who isnt included on this list

Re: ✍ Alex Král

Didn't one of our European posters (username maybe begins with K?) who was familiar with the player warn us he would be a poor signing to make? Was Kral another DS signing? The try before you buy element certainly has hallmarks of this. Is he a poor signing? Done ok since when he's come on and is c...

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

I'd have been livid if we spent £25 million on Chris Wood. 30 years old and bang average. you don't have a goal return like him in this league for a club like Burnley if you are bang average, he isn't the right player for Moyes who (I think) wants mobility up front, but with the right service Wood ...

Re: Next managerial casualty

From the outside, is there any point in sacking Benitez? He wasn’t given much to play around with in the summer and slowly trying to get players in who want to play for the club. But I totally understand why the Everton fans want him out, objectively I think it would be a mistake. All depends on wh...

Re: January 2022 Transfer Window

If I'm Newcastle, where money basically doesn't matter and the need is urgent, sure. But for anyone else? No, £25m for a relatively average 30 year old, who may have a somewhat solid record in the Premier League but whose recent form is poor, well it just isn't value. And I quite like Chris Wood (a...
