Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

I don't know why people think the players dislike Moyes. I think it has been very obvious over the years that they don't just respect him, they like him. Not every single one of them, of course. But the vast majority and the collective have. It's the fans that don't. At its worse it’s a strategy to...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

Potters next gig may well depend on the terms of his severance from Chelsea. From memory they have always had a clause that if its another Premiership team then they can stop paying the dosh, don't think it counted if it was a club outside of the premier league (I might be wrong). My personal view i...

Really expect better from you mate.
If that’s how you’ve taken it Bob that’s on you

It comes from posting on here for over 20 years and seeing the same thing play out from the same players pretty much every time

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

Yeah but there is a reason 99% of clubs, owners, pundits, journos, players, fans etc would choose De Zerbi over Moyes. And its not because 99% are all wrong and some West Ham fans are right. Moyes has done wonders but De Zerbi is clearly a better coach and tactician, hence everyone in football laud...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

Who ever comes in has one hell of a rebuild job on their hands. You can here it now If the new guy doesn't hit the ground running there will be a lot of "told you so's" flying about. No wonder when you lose half the playing squad. In my experience on here, id say its much more likely that...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

It’s sullivans standard operating model pull the funding from his current manager leaving him under resourced and coping it from the fan base and then give the new bloke a decent war chest

As always with Sully rinse and repeat

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

Nope. Combined wage bill and player amortisation last few seasons has been 11th/12th. Income has been 7th/8th but not what’s been provided to the manger You’d need to ask Sully why the disparity not Moyes and that is fact before anyone quotes some clickbait sites. Per published accounts, see my thr...

put it this way, if anyone ever wants to dig it out, there would be some pretty red faces on the views of the player and the talent that could have been had out of Scotland... saying that it was a long time ago and I have trouble remembering what I ate yesterday

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

For me there is literally no point in using league position as a metric until the season is finished. Very true that, I think its often a counter argument to the "we should / could be 12th if teams win their games or other teams had scored their chances" yada yada, countered by the "...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

So to this point. If we finished 9th or 10th this year. Is it a good season? Genuinely curious to see if you believe it would be, because that would give me a sense of what your expectations are and what I'm trying to discuss. I would imagine like most people he'd wait until the end of the season t...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

There's literally two things to gauge football on, stats or the eye test. (And before you say it, winning a trophy counts as a win - a stat). Just like any future player or manager, you and I will judge them on their production - their stats, or how good they look when they play. If you enjoy watch...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

Of course football insider know the names. Leverkusen has made a really intelligent transfer policy there, bought players from clubs, where West Ham could have been active too. Boniface would fit perfect to us as a striker in my opinion. I wrote that in the transfer thread several months ago. We sh...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

Until we know who was responsible for the shocking last transfer window, it's very hard to make an informed judgement on whether he should stay or go. If, as seems unlikely, Moyes actually wanted to weaken the squad dramatically then he's cooked his goose. I find it far more plausible that those ab...

Its about blaming Moyes

As for Scammaca, Dusseldorf posted constantly about his issues last season, which seemed to be supported by the national managers comments about him and his playstation
