Already looking forward to him being successful and the club still not taking up the full transfer fee!

Re: Sheffield United v West Ham United: Match Thread

In short our recruitment is a mess, we are paying the price for having our 8th Manager in a decade, a lack of footballing philosophy, a lack of continuity in the professional aspects of the club, and a Chairman who thinks he knows more than people he is paying millions of pounds to every year for t...

Re: Pablo Fornals

I think he's a bog standard player. No pace, doesn't dribble, not physical, but gets into some good space. Has been unlucky not to score. If he was English he wouldn't be near a Prem side. He plays for West Ham so I hope he improves a lot and makes a big impact. :crest: He's an elite off the ball p...

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

Pellegrini's stubbornness will lead to Moyes looking like a genius as he makes very practical and obvious decisions with this side, and coasts into 11th place. Someone (I'm guessing Felipe) will "rediscover" himself and we lose him in the summer.

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager

I mentioned this in the match thread but it bears repeating here. When a palace player was receiving prolonged treatment on the pitch during the second half, there were about half a dozen players around Hodgson on the touchline, no doubt receiving instructions. Pellegrini was wandering up and down ...

Re: StatsBomb article

The deep defensive line is something that really does bother me and doesn't get talked about enough. It is almost nonsensical to play a pressing game in the PL without having your backline taking the same sort of risks up field. It can work in a lot of less direct leagues but not this one.You could ...

Re: Cresswell or Masuaku?

I used to think it was a situational pick but really it's more risk/reward, regardless of the opponent. Masuaku is capable of an overall superior performance that makes players around him better (e.g. Felipe in more open space), but also capable of games with a few costly mental errors and putting m...

Re: Oxford United vs West Ham United

I don’t know the rules, and it’s probably prohibited but surely if the game is not having a licensed broadcast on any single market, either Oxford or our own YouTube or website could stream it like we do with some preseason games? I believe the entire cup is licensed out and from there, individual ...

Re: VAR - yes or no ?

If it can’t pick up on penalties like the one against Haller at the weekend, I really don’t see the point of it. Would have been given as a penalty in MLS and there is a pretty good chance given the obvious nature they would have never gone to a screen. Even when the official heads to the screen no...

Re: Javier Hernandez Signs

Specsavers f*** (Rio) suggests this is what happened. It's like Pavlov's dog with you and CNR regarding this subject. The truth is probably a bit of both...never had a reputation here for being problematic for managers, owners, fans, etc, but thinks very highly of himself and always aspires to play...

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread

Indeed. I recall the times when our top scorers would be scoring 7-8 goals. To have that pretty much guaranteed in reserve is a luxury for which we should be very grateful. He deserves more respect from those that are meant to be supporting him. :thdn: Whatever we don't have is exactly what we need...

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread

Aaron Long quoted stating how he doesn’t understand why it’s so hard for an American international to get a work permit, and that he dreams of playing in the premier league. Unless our name is being used as a way to attract interest, that must surely mean we are trying to bring him in. Will be inte...

Re: The summer transfer window 2019 thread

I've asked around to friends who watch more MLS than I do. He started to break out last year as a 21 year old, and it's continued this year, he's small but quick and clever. Plays as a #7, takes a lot of cracks at goal from outside the box, not as experienced or polished as say Almiron who went to ...

Re: Leaked: home and away kits 2019/20

Will they make more on claret shorts? Can't imagine shorts are where they are rolling in it regardless of color.

From a pure neutral aesthetic standpoint, the kits look great especially with the head-to-toe color way. But it all does seem sacrilege.

Re: Javier Hernandez Signs

Out of contract in 2020. Do we sell this summer or offer a new contract? Sell if someone is willing to pay most of what we paid, as he shouldn't be the #1 guy next season. Don't expect that to happen though, fully expect him at this age to see out his contract and then get his time in the North Ame...
