Re: Summer 2023/24 Transfer Thread

Smoke and mirrors..Again. Sullivan locked away the cheque book the moment the final whistle blew at Brighton last weekend, imo. Hopefully, with a win tonight, they will let Moyes make the obligatory "there was no one available that would improve the team" and "I'm happy with the squad&...

Re: Takeover talk

The irony of all this is we thought Kretinski was going to be our saviour, when ,in fact, he was the board's - He baled them out with his cash injection and allowed them to cash in some of their loans and carry on their haphazard and short sighted running of the club, imo.

Re: Summer 2023/24 Transfer Thread

We always seem to have problems with agents, which is quite ironic considering Sullivan's track record! Last summer we made a stand and bombed Vlaovic out for £20m because his agent wanted £3m !!

Re: Summer 2023/24 Transfer Thread

West Ham transfer policy appears to be - manager puts forward his choice,Sullivan adds in a handful of alternatives that broadly play on the same position as manager's - If Sulli does not fancy the manager's choice, he takes the proverbial with his offer and drags his heals and pisses off club,playe...

Re: Summer 2023/24 Transfer Thread

At the moment, we have signed one player that has been recommended by Noble.
All the obvious Moyes signings could be binned, as well as Moyes, if we get a hiding tomorrow, which could explain the dragging of heels, imo.

Re: Late David Gold, Sullivan and Brady

Sullivan has never allowed any manager free reign on transfers - He constantly throws in alternatives to the mix or under bids for players he does not fancy, imo. As Allardyce alluded to with his "Sulli gifts comment. We were always led to believe that Pellegrini had full control, but even he had...

Re: Late David Gold, Sullivan and Brady

All Kretinski's money did was to allow S&G to recoup all their loan money and to have a mini splurge on players last season, imo. They have, probably recouped most of their investment in the club and could still walk away with 70%ish of the current value of the club, imo. David Sullivan would have...

Re: Summer 2023/24 Transfer Thread

Sullivan was never going to let Moyes spend the Dec money, instead he has refused to sanction anything and his acolytes have been constantly spewing anti Moyes bile - He plainly wanted to sack him at the end of the season, but delivering the first piece of silverware in most fans' lifetimes made tha...

Re: Late David Gold, Sullivan and Brady

The whole "Kretinski takeover" was complete bull****,imo. All GSB wanted was some cash to bale them out of the **** they had dug themelves in whilst still keeping control and calming the"restless natives" with the misha prehension that a full takeover was imminent.

Re: Takeover talk

Let's be honest - All David Sullivan wanted was a cash injection and still keep control - The idea of a buyout when the repayment option runs out has just been trolled out to placate fan unrest, imo.

Re: ⚽ Everton v West Ham United: match thread

The transfer window was considered, by many, to have been one of our best, but in reality it was the most random one ever,in my opinion.
How you can go from Broja to Scamacca, as back up/competition for Antonio,is beyond me.
Dropping Onana to sign Paqueta is equally baffling to me.

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2022.

I honestly think that Onana would have taken Soucek's starting place within weeks, but unfortunately, due to either Moyes misguided loyalty or Sullivan's tight arsedness we will never know.

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2022.

We cannot have five dedicated CBs and 4CBs was not enough for a part of last season - even the top PL teams have had to play DMs or FBs at CB and that is what we need to aim for, imo.Diop to be replaced by a versatile DM or FB that can play CB.

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2022.

One thing to note is the fact that,if,as most of us expect,Cresswell has serious competition for his starting berth, we will not have a direct free kick threat in the team - possibly a reason Ward Prowse is of interest?

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2022.

I think the real issue,as regards Soucek is that he and Rice both want to be the box to box CM.

All over them, so the inevitable " let's play the head injury card" to break up the game and then get up and carry on as if nothing happened!
