Re: Protests against the board being planned

The itinerary of the Unofficial Early March is as follows: 11:45: Upton Park, Queens: for a saveloy, sausage in batter, chip butty, can of coke 12:00: Having walked down Green Street, try not to cry as I look at what was the Boleyn Ground 12:15: Walk down Dogshit Alley, try not to tread in dog poo....

Re: Protests against the board being planned

Not own a stadium, get in to dispute with the owners of it, dropping down the leagues, and end up doing the football equivalent of sleeping on someone's couch A coventry situation may well be the end game for West Ham.So so sad. However, they play, and their supporters go watch at a proper football...

Re: Protests against the board being planned

There's a reason for that. They play in football grounds, and not athletic stadiums, in traditional areas, with grounds in housing estates, with burger vans, tat stalls, and all the other stuff we once had until 2016. It's all very well if you're in the 1500-2000 that get an away ticket if you're l...

Re: Protests against the board being planned

Lets just say, at best, and I think here I'm being a tad optimistic, that we get 30k at our home games. You seriously think that will be more enjoyable than if we have 60k there in The PL. Honestly, IMO, yes I do think it will be better. Quality over quantity. I've been to loads of Champ / L1 / L2 ...

Re: Protests against the board being planned

25,000 still rocking up would genuinely amaze me should we get relegated. It would tell many fans would still continue to put up with just about anything that they offered up. Being relegated is one of the few things that will get me back attending. Proper people who want to be there. People who wa...

Re: Trial seperation

I'm going through this right now. Didn't renew my ST for this season, and although it hurt, and had to search my soul and be honest with myself that I just couldn't stomach the tax payers arena. So, we junked it. But sadly that also meant access to away tickets were also severed due to no ST. We mov...

Re: Protests against the board being planned

Not sure where to post this message to be honest... but here goes for here. I knew david golds mum, my nan was her best friend and they used to go bingo with her until she sadly passed away. David, and ralph treated her abysmally. She lived in a tiny little flat in east ham and they paid for a full...

Re: Possible Takeover Bid ?

My dream too is of an AFC phoenix, but as for the reasons alredy listed, I can't see it being a success. Therefore my preference is for back to back relegations. Opportunity to re-design and re-start galore.......... even if it meant using only 1 side of the bowl for a few years. I just can't stomac...

Re: Everything about the mentality of this club is wrong.

What the club should do is use relegation as the driver to put everything in order. Change the structure of the club from top to bottom. The soppy old ***** in charge, if they remain, should completely separate themselves from the running of the club. Brady should be replaced by someone competent. ...

Re: West Ham say pay to have your say in club affairs

I think this thread needs to be more visible, maybe merged with the protest thread? Some of us older supporters don't really understand crypto currency etc etc. I can see it's somewhere between pyramid selling & buying magic beans. I can also see that it's another GSB rip off :thdn: Totally agree H...

Re: Protests against the board being planned

People shrug it off as not being a problem over there, but it’s an epidemic in my eyes, and massively contributes to the lack of atmosphere, togetherness and West Ham-ness of that crowd. Fully agree. I know of 6 people (whom are not known to each other) that are STH at the OS yet do not support Wes...

I need to get my arse into London for the next one, I can't rant on here daily and then not support the movement.

Drip by drip the media are beginning to do their part. Lets show ,em what West Ham are about.

Re: 20years in the making, the decline of the West Ham way

Excellent post. Enjoyed that. And can agree with all of it, up until the move (which was, lets face it, the whole justification of the GSB takeover). Up until that point, even under all those challenges you list, we still had 2 crucial things. Hope and identity. And the careless stripping of the hop...

Re: Protests against the board being planned

I reckon Tony Gale (& Friends) is your man. I've seen him at a fair few events, and he's never got a good word to say about the new place or the regime - frequently takes the pee, He gets where the fans are coming from. And I don't beleive he is in bed with the board / club. He is media savvy, a bri...

Re: How much do you care about relegation?

-5 Bring it on. Burn it all down. ^^ This. (Normally I'd be devastated, but 'normally' packed its bags years ago) The club needs a thorough cleanse, and purge of current ills. Little by little we'll reclaim our identity and go again. That journey excites me, no matter what challenges. Can't stand w...

I can't wait. :scarfer: Me either. Under normal circumstances, relegation is the last thing anyone would want. But these aint normal circumstances. A relegation IMO would sort the wheat from the chaff support wise. And with a massively reduced income across all spheres, eventually the gate money ta...

Re: 2019/2020 Relegation Thread

I am at a complete loss as to why people are desperate to stay in the league. Have you not learnt anything since the move? As long as they have minimal outgoings and are creaming Premier League money in every year then they're just pointing and laughing at us. Why stay in a league for the sake of s...
