Re: Takeover talk

I'm also in the 100% GSB OUT group, but not really sure how that is any form of 'win' anymore. Pride, ego, oneupmanship...... whatever you wanna call it.... other than that, what is the advantage ? Was a long term STH at UP, and although apprehensive about the move, went along with it open minded. M...

Re: Brexit referendum result aftermath

The Ford Fiesta. The long standing best seller for Ford Motor Company in Great Britain. The biggest market globally for Fiesta, Great Britain. Since its launch in mid 70's till turn of the cerntury, relfected Henry Ford's ethos to a tee. "Build 'em where you sell 'em". That car was respons...

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions

I gave quite a detailed answer (above) to your same previous question (7th October). It actually makes a lot of business sense. I'm afraid you seem to be assuming that 'customer preference' equals business priority, which very often it doesn't. Value??? It obviously depends whether you are business...

Re: The BBC

I think we should be very careful with the BBC, it is very respected worldwide and is an example of the 'soft power' we have as a country. Get rid of it and then what do we have? More Netflix and amazon prime subscriptions? 100% - Don't under estimate 'brand BBC' from an international perspective. ...

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions

So like it or lump it.. Is the crux of it. All the moaning in the world won't help, West Ham are stuk in that place for the foreseeable. If people dont like it, then people shouldn't go. Broke my heart to walk away, but i feel 100% justified in my own decision, and can rest easy. GSB have taken us ...

Re: Coronavirus

That sounds awful LOS! Particularly as no end in sight today! What are the symptoms you mention? Lots of people with real bad convulsions, some biting their tongue when fitting, meaning loads claret. Which is then highly contagious. And so it goes on. Lots of people really struggling to breathe. Lo...

Re: Coronavirus

2 of my sister-in-laws are currently trapped in Wuhan. Its a tragic and desperate situation. Some of the symptoms are shocking. The front doors to their appartment building have been welded shut (as its proven no-one in their block is infected). Food parcels get passed thru a hatch every few days. A...

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions

Just out of interest, when did The Builders Arms close ?

Thats was our meeting point for the 3 seasons attending the athletics track. Felt a little bit sad on Saturday when walking past it en route to the protest. All boarded up, and mate was distraught the Pie n Mash stall out back had gone !!

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions

Why is someone who wasn't a ST holder at Upton Park less of a supporter? It's the old 'you're not a REAL supporter stuff again. I'm gonna be a bit self-indulgent now and tell you my credentials. COYI Goa, Apologies my friend if my post offended, that was not the intention. I fully recognise the opp...

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions

One question, what is your proposal for allocating season tickets in 40,000 seat stadium given that there would only be about 36,000 available? Who of the current ticket holders misses out? I am not averse to your proposal but can see some logistical issues. Bearing in mind a massive slice of the c...

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions

With the loss of another £28m to the tax payer, how much longer can the London Stadium be funded. Surely there will be someone looking into the viability of this chaotic mess, if this happens where does it leave West Ham because everyone outside of this club must be wondering what is going on. I ca...

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager

Bury aside, I'd probbaly take any league clubs fortunes over the past decase versus that of our own. At least those clubs have retained their soul, their ethos about their being. We've been franchised "Straford Athletic Hammers"- great for those that can, but I'll never get past the move t...

If anyone thinks getting relegated is nothing more than a guaranteed season outside the Prem take a look at your Forests, Leeds' Wednesdays, Sunderlands ,and so on...... oooooo, Yes please. Proper clubs, populated by proper football loving folk, larger % of British players, more Satuday 3pm k/o, Wh...

On a positive note, it was good to have Cetreforce DJing on the outside bar, reminded me of my misspent youth.
reminded me of a split fan base and a failed march.

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions

The main function of security searches at football is not to reduce terrorism risk but to increase food and drink sales on a match day. How's that work? Because I queue up for 5 mins on the bridge I have a burning desire to have a hot dog and coke? It works because they stop you from taking y...
