Re: Formula1
Better than watching MV cruise home every race? If only they could get close enough to ram him! In a way reliability and technology has caused part of the decline in excitement in F1. Obviously no one wants the dark days of regular deaths in F1, but there was a great unknown element to cars braking...

Re: Formula1
Racing incident. Alonso got his punishment. Move on. He's Mercedes No 1 driver, start acting like it or go back to the comfort of carting. F1 champions are historically absolute shithouses. George, Lando, Charles, Albon and Gasly have been in F1 a while now, all came into the sport at a similar tim...

Re: Formula1
Alonso with 20 seconds for trying to kill George. Bloke has done **** like that for years. Gets nailed for being an arse. Decent race, (sort of - but not really) a shame we couldn’t see if Saniz could really match the Red Bull today, their were signs they could. Firstly I had a few quid on Sainz at...

Re: England Cricket 2024
Sigh. Nice to see the head of cricket do the usual and blame the bowlers.... England’s batting is not a problem After a poor winter capped by a 4-1 defeat in India, a dismal World Cup, a drawn Ashes last summer and 14 wins from 23 Tests, Key knows it is time for England to go to the next level. He i...

Yeah, was hoping Ferrari could lock out the front row on this one.
Lewis decision to jump ship looking more prudent every week. When you think about it how many top engineers have been poached from Merc over the last 4-5 years? They just don't have the talent any more....

https://edition.cnn.com/2024/03/23/europe/us-had-warned-russia-isis-was-determined-to-attack-intl-hnk/index.html The cynic in me says that party officials will have got the message to stay at home, but allowing a mass attack like this only helps strengthen Putin's hold on the narrative that everyone...

Re: Russian invasion of Ukraine
It's not as if I come on here posting ' I  Putin ' every day . Appeasement and support comes in many forms. You have never to my knowledge outright condemned him either. But the reason you are getting a pile on is the wilfull or foolhardy untruths you post in the name of "balance" ...

Kind of a consequence of making a never ending list of excuses for one of recent history's most evil tyrants I'm afraid.....
Of course Last Caress has a bigger feather headdress than the rest of us put together....

Re: Russian invasion of Ukraine
I'm not a huge fan of Putin but I'm not a fan of what the US & its Friends have done in the region either and that's it really . Since the end of WW2 both the US and Russia have behaved despicably against countless nations to their own ends, of this there is no doubt. The collateral damage to h...

Re: Russian invasion of Ukraine
l but Western polls or Western approved polls had Putin's approval rating at around 80% back in 2022 [ it's risen and fallen since 1999 ] so it couldn't have come as much of a surprise to see him romp home Its been a while since you posted such skewed nonsense on the Ukraine thread, so nice to see ...

2024 Cycling
Starting with the news of Laura Kenny's retirement.

Not much of a career, just the five Olympic golds and seven World Championship titles. Seems a genuinely nice person as well.
Will go down as one of the greatest UK female athletes ever.

Make Me Smile was the first single I ever owned. Somehow I cracked it from the edge to half way in. When I used to play it after it made a click on every rotation, but I still carried on using it as I loved it so much.
Another bit of childhood gone. RIP.

You couldn't make this up its so brutal Vitaly Robertus, 54, is reportedly the fourth Lukoil manager to die in two years. https://www.euronews.com/2024/03/14/vice-president-of-russian-energy-company-dies-suddenly-of-suicide In March 2022, the board of the privately owned company called for an end to...

Re: Mulletts
Over 2 years ago one of the lads at our sports club started appearing with a dyed blonde mullett. For 2 years we ridiculed him about it, to his credit he soaked it all up and ballsed it out. We've now had to concede hes a trend setter and ahead of his time. The return of mullets shows nothing is off...

Hopefully in the longer term Moyes will accept that putting 4 attack minded players on the pitch is the way to go in every game.
