Re: Welcome, Sebastien Haller

The fella is an absolute cart-horse.

I was at the West Brom game last week and he just kept falling over. He’s like a much less physical John Carew.

Terrible signing.

Re: 2019/2020 Relegation Thread

We’re down lads. Don’t beat yourselves up about it. The players don’t care, maybe a few do but most wont give a monkeys - they’ll be on the the phones to their agents to get a move to Besiktas or a loan back to Germany or Spain. In the past I’d have been absolutely gutted but even if we stay up we s...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

Yep. Basically means he has a year and a half left on his contract A loan deal might be quite appealing to Hull in one sense If they loan him out, activate the extra year and he ends up banging in 8 goals between now and end of season, his appeal to other premier league clubs [and his value] rocket...

We’ll either get a scrappy draw or get smashed 4-1 or 5-1.

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

I think that was Ilan vs Everton wasn't it? The diving header? Don't particularly remember Nene playing much? Nene didn’t do much for us but Big Sam seemed reluctant to really give him a chance. At least we know now who signed him... Ilan was a half decent poacher who should really have been given ...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

Baldock, Zarate, Sakho, Borrielo? Maybe even Valencia, Chamakh, Carew, Maiga? Certainly Nene, Brian Montenegro and Wellington Paulista. Fairly endless list. We know Benni McCarthy was a Zola signing as after he flopped all we ever used to hear in the press was Sullivan blaming him for the signing. ...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

We were linked with Aaron Long back in the summer but he couldn’t get a work permit.

He’s now played 14 games for the USA during 2019 so if we really want him that shouldn’t be an obstacle now.

Re: West Ham United v West Bromwich Albion: FAC4R Match Thread

What was the deal with the bloke who let off a smoke bomb or flare in about the 89th minute, got over the hoardings and kicked off with a load of stewards?

Crazy.

Re: West Ham United v West Bromwich Albion: FAC4R Match Thread

Thought we deserved a draw today, not that we would even have won the replay anyway. They scored early on when we were slow out of the blocks (as usual) but apart from the missed header by Austin didn’t really look that dangerous. Problem is we were so poor they didn’t need to be. Too many of those ...

Re: West Ham United v West Bromwich Albion: FAC4R Match Thread

Won’t be many real West Ham fans there, and certainly not many who remember the final year at the Boleyn so I don’t think you need to worry. Stadium will be full of tourists and families as per usual  I don’t agree with that. Tickets of that price will attract fans who for whatever reason onl...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

Had a check of Ex’s Twitter. Apparently we offered £12m for Cash and Forest want £18m. Crazy money. The lad hasn’t even played for the U21s and they want that type of money. Zabaleta has looked good recently and that money would be better spent on a centre midfielder or another striker. Right back ...

The man who led us to defeats against a bottom 3 Everton side, a piss poor Newcastle team, a Burnley team who had lost 5 from 6, a Leicester reserve team, a pathetically poor Arsenal team. He was a clueless moron with his hair, golf skills and bank balance the only thing left intact. Bang on correc...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

They held onto Pellegrini for at least 5 games too long. If he’d have been rightly sacked back in October when he’d clearly lost the plot we’d have been easily two or three wins better off. They sack him too late once we’ve already plummeted down the table - no decent players will want a relegation ...

Poor fella needs a goal for his confidence.

Re: West Ham United v Everton: Match Thread

We were unlucky to only get a point against a team that is, on paper superior. In addition they were managed by Ancelotti, one of the most successful managers in the world game. That is pretty decent for me. What we need desperately is more depth to the squad. Bringing in Allen should be a priority...
