Cometh the hour , cometh the man. He showed real bottle in the last relegation scrap. Its gonna be a much tougher battle this time around. I for one am glad he will be leading the charge to safety.
Well said. I agree.

Re: Are we signing the right calibre of players?

Just to clarify my comment on 3-5-2, I'd admit it may work as a short term to get more bodies in to midfield and defence and compete, thus reducing pressure on the centre backs. But I don't particularly like it as a long term for all sorts of reasons; most decent teams nowadays have got competent en...

Re: Are we signing the right calibre of players?

Great post Burnley. Leicester are the 3rd best team in the league this year, and they are more than Vardy's goals. Their movement and work rate is brilliant and a testament to fitness/workrate combined with a clear idea of your tactics. I should think that a team of flair players who arent prepared ...

Re: David Sullivan - Has he taken us as far as he can ?

Too many deaths though suicide and drugs overdosing. When you drop dead and bump into Mary Millington ask her how wonderful a person David Sullivan is. Just to be clear, are you making reference to something involving David Sullivan? I don't know the story you're referring to, so if it relates to S...

Re: David Sullivan - Has he taken us as far as he can ?

Thing is, I would still rather have Sullivan than one of these dodgy overseas billionaires, but I am sure plenty would disagree on this point. Well I agree with this. I'd rather have Sullivan than say a multi-billionaire Qatari/Saudi government with a medieval human rights approach, using the club ...

Re: VAR - yes or no ?

Having been massively in favour, I've realised that controversy won't go away because a. the media stoke it for clicks and discussion and b. there's no respect for referees in football. So why bother until that has changed. In cricket, you cant have a game without the umpire, in rugby the ref can sa...

I wasn't commenting either way, AI.
Marky wondered if we had ever won a match with MD in charge & having looked it up I thought I'd add a few more.

Last 7 for us that he did: 19/11/16 A Spurs. We lost 3-2 2/1/17 H ManU. We lost 2-0 25/10/17 A Spurs EFL Cup. We won 3-2 3/12/17 A ManC. We lost 2-1 4/1/18 A Spurs. We drew 1-1 15/12/18 A Fulham. We won 2-0 10/8/19 H ManC. We lost 5-0 Seems to do us more Away than Home. Very card-happy, as well. No...

Think I'd go
Fab
Fred Balbuena Diop Masuaku
Rice
.....
Haller

Then work out how the hell to also get Snodgrass, Noble, Fornals, Wilshere, Anderson and Lanzini into a formation that allows us to compete. :o
