Re: Sudden disappearances into obscurity

steveyrockstar wrote: Thu Feb 29, 2024 11:32 am Could almost have a whole separate thread on managers who just disappeared after some high profile roles or being lauded as a bright new thing. What happened to Iain Dowie in management as well?
Dowie was sued by simon jordan for about a 7 figure sum , hasnt had a job since then i think

Managed a young leeds team to dizzy heights. And then.....nothing. Vanished.
there was lots going on at Leeds in those days behind the scenes

PS: Curbishley never managed again after he sued WHUFC, for constructive dismissal

I don't think he will be first choice at Palace at full back with Joel Ward and Mitchell
just being wanted and respected may be enough for him though ?

Re: ✍ Welcome, Jarrod Bowen

there's a pretty good chance, that Bowen could hit 20 prem goals & still not make Southgates '23' man squad , which would be a disgrace , one of the main reasons imo, we havent won a tournament in last 20 years is the manager at the helm .

Even the Lovely Ms. Eggs has stopped watching it.
tbh, broadcast tv is such a turn off , the cycle of strictly 23/24 etc , bake off 23/24 has me turning off , as for saturday night , there is no hope
