Re: Declan Rice

Didnt even spend it all, let alone use it to grow. They did get a couple of decent players, but to do what they promised (champs league) they needed to keep Rice by showing ambition and proving they could keep their promise and build on top of him. The ***** invested nothing in the Summer (Nothing!...

There were two factors for me: Arteta, and the fact that Sullivan said he was leaving less than 12 hours after we won the ECL. Now that the emotion has faded, I've only fond memories of Rice.

The Ireland stuff probably doesn't help though.

Guessing he's injured mate, hasn't played a game for Roma this season.

They were better last year, but choked.
100%, Jesus and Martinelli haven't been as good. Almost certainly would be outside the top 4 without Rice.

Re: Declan Rice

I'll be happy for him if he wins the league. If Arsenal win it'll be because he's made the difference for them. Half of us doubted whether Arsenal would even make the top 4.

Obvious disclaimer, I loathe Arteta.

Re: Nottingham Forest Deducted 4 points

I am quite sure the likes of Kretinsky and Tripp Smith would not happily invest in West Ham if they were not receiving a return on their capital investment. That is the only way fans will accept owners making money, selling for more than they bought for. Taking dividends, charging interest on perso...

Re: Nottingham Forest Deducted 4 points

I mwould respectfully disagree. Football is exactly like any other business. That's the crux of the discussion mate. Again, I respectfully disagree. I don't think you'll find another industry where the owners of private companies are condemned for taking money out of the business. As Simon Jordan s...

Re: Nottingham Forest Deducted 4 points

You've lost me a little bit tbh. I don't see why a stadium should be part of any group of fans re forming their club. What I was getting at was you say clubs can start again, without really addressing the huge implications. Bury were lucky enough to retain their stadium. We've seen first hand what ...

Re: Nottingham Forest Deducted 4 points

Football clubs have gone bust long before foreign ownership became a feature. Respectfully, I find your viewpoint mad mate. Bury were fortunate enough to have fans that were willing and able to buy their stadium (something we wouldn't be able to do, should we find ourselves in a similar situation),...

Re: Nottingham Forest Deducted 4 points

I felt far less warm towards Forest when I had to read from several of their fans that Jesse Lingard went there for 'the project'. Such was his commitment to this daring and maverick project that he signed a one year deal. Hope Luton manage to stay up. Brentford and Forest are doing their utmost to ...

Can Freiburg do every OV?
Paqueta is also one of those difference players... We have one of them on a good day and West Ham have four of them.
Don't we just. Easily the best attacking talent I've ever seen for us.

The rarest of treats to see West Ham so ruthlessly put another team to the sword. Still buzzing about it now.

When was the last time we scored 5? Only one I can think of in the last 10 years is Macclesfield.
