Re: West Ham United vs Fulham FC - Sunday 14 April - 2pm

This is going to change massively this week. Good chance Bayern knock Arsenal out, Liverpool very likely out and us basically out to Leverkusen. I think it's unlikely we get that extra spot tbh. Those percentages supposedly have taken into account the first legs of all the quarter finals. It'll be ...

Re: West Ham United vs Fulham FC - Sunday 14 April - 2pm

Not anymore there isn't. Can still happen but not as likely as it was. Indeed, but still a fairly high chance. I can't see Chelsea beating both Manchester clubs to win the FA cup either. Just to clarify for anyone that isn't sure, if the PL gets a 5th Champions league spot, 8th place will qualify f...

If that’s how you’ve taken it Bob that’s on you It comes from posting on here for over 20 years and seeing the same thing play out from the same players pretty much every time Agreed mate, and that's not to tar everyone who is 'Moyes out', but there'll be plenty who have been dying to see him gone ...

Re: West Ham United vs Fulham FC - Sunday 14 April - 2pm

If that's a ridiculous point then you must genuinely think we still have a decent chance of getting into Europe next season? On what basis do you think that? We realistically need 3-4 wins from our last 6 games to have a chance, or overcome a 2-0 deficit against the newly crowned German champions w...

Pretty much every match thread for the past couple of months. Indeed mate, and while I've been offering an honest opinion you seem to have it in your mind that I'm trying to score internet points/have some sort of agenda/haven't criticised other players enough that you've deemed worse offenders tha...

Re: ✍ Welcome James Ward-Prowse

Who has been consistently good recently? Short list sadly. A decent few to be fair. When I say recently, I mean the last 3-4 months, not the last couple of weeks. His set pieces have been under his normal high standard. He's also been subbed a few times lately, where before Moyes would always leave...

Re: ✍ Welcome James Ward-Prowse

Interceptions made higher up the pitch and first time passes to release the runners. Bread and butter from his days at Southampton. He is much better at interceptions than tackles. Yep I'll give him that, further up the pitch seems to be his best position. Great at pressing. The spine of the team i...

Outside of set pieces, I was more impressed by what we saw of Downes. Saints fans also posed the question Downes-Saintsweb

Indeed, I expected him to be dictating play like Noble/Rice used to, but he doesn't seem to have the passing range. He does seem to pull out of tackles too.

I'm struggling to see it as well mate, but it's not over yet. And while we're most probably out of Europe, finishing in a European spot is doable.

He's really not the player I hoped he was. Take away the set pieces (which he largely has, recently) and you're left with very little.

Not even close to Noble for me.

Absolutely, and in my opinion saying the season is over when we're still in Europe and two points off 6th is utterly absurd.

If we lose to Palace and Leverkusen, in a week I'll be agreeing with you. But here and now, ridiculous.

I don't get it mate. Even after today, we're two points off 6th. Moanatronics out in full force.

Add Coufal and Fabianski, that's about it.

What I wouldn't give to have the Ogbonna-Dawson pairing of a few years ago.
