I hope not, if we're to try and make a push for the top8.
Unfortunately he offers very little when in posession. We need better, but he's a good squad player to have.

I’m not going to be around for the game later so if someone could bump this for me around 5.25pm.
Struggle to play or struggle to get any sort of service?

Re: ⚽ Brentford v West Ham Utd: Match Thread

Very pre-seasony!
Coventry's been tidy, without looking to penetrate too much.
Fornals looks good.
Playing fredericks and johnson on the right won't create us much as they're both pretty similar.
We could definitely do with some wingers in the squad and a striker.

Hahahaha exactly!
His passing is dire but he's as hard as nails and can score goals.....oh and he can defend.

Re: Masuaku - West Ham’s most skilful ever player?

Once he's back, do you guys think Moyes will play him on the wing rather than as direct competition for Cress?
Going forward, I think he'll be a good option for the squad but can't see him being a regular.

Re: Welcome, Jarrod Bowen

I thought Bowen could have done a job for us there ages ago so unsure why Yarmo was always the automatic replacement. Bowen's form has been flaky for a while prior to the Sheffield game so was glad he made a good contribution. Looking forward to seeing more of him, Jlingz, Benny and Ant rotating. :s...

Re: ⚽ Fulham v West Ham Utd: match thread

Gotta be the same starting line up. Fredericks did well both offensively and defensively. Provided good pace and nearly got an assist on a couple of occasions. Bowen and Fornals can watch from the bench and look at how they can be more of a goal threat. It's good to have options in these areas with ...

Re: Pablo Fornals

Do you think Pablo could be considered to play alongside Rice in CM, rather than Noble having to play there when Rice/Soucek can't play?

Re: Javier Hernandez Signs

But is it Bilic's fault that 4 at the back is too leaky? I guess you could say he bought the defenders or players for the system. Possibly the problem is that without carroll we lack a big enough threat. If carroll could run the channels, Hernandez wouldnt be sacrificed to do so.....plus i think we ...

Re: Mark Noble - West Ham Legend

In terms of work-rate and ground covered, I'd rather go with Obiang and Kouyate although Kouyate gambles a bit too much with his forward runs which then leaves a big hole. I'm not too fussed about all this obsession with passing stats. Yes Noble is probably the best passer in our MF (excluding lanzi...

He (Obiang) always gets his head up to play the penetrative pass.
IMHO he's the first name to be placed into that CM spot.

Re: Transfer Window: January 2017

I guess if Hogan wasn't going to be clearly better than a Sakho (when fit), Calleri, Carroll and even Antonio, it would be a big waste of £10-12MIL so I'm not overly fussed. A right back would have been nice but it looks like we'll have to try and cope with Byram, Nordveit and Arbelo slotting in the...

Re: Manuel Lanzini

Apart from a couple of passages of play with payet in the second half, he did very little from my view at the ground. Ayew played a lot higher up and closer to Carroll. IMO we need a siguardsson type of player who'll sometimes take up the strikers position and get in the box.......like a Nolan-esque...

Re: West Ham United v Burnley: Match Thread

What stood out for me was the lack of pace we had in behind. This allowed them to defend high up the pitch. Wingbacks give you no threat in behind and that midfield four have 0 interest in running in behind as they all want the ball to feet. If we're going to play 3-6-1 someone has to sometimes be w...

Surely we'd be looking for an experienced RB as opposed to another untried youngster.
Not fussed if we sign Richards though.
As long as antonio never has to play or 'fill in' there.
