Re: Summer Transfer Window 2018- 35 days remaining

Decent player that Mawson is i honestly think the £25m fee it would probably take to get him here could be put to better use in other positions! FWIW lots of Corinthians on Twitter last night raving about Balbuena and are very sad that he could be leaving, allegedly has a £5-8m release clause, could...

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2018- 65 days remaining

Surprised our old mate Di Marzio, hasn't weighed in on the Anderson rumor yet, he usually has his fingers in plenty of Italian transfer pies.. He has but don’t ask me to link it cos I’m useless at that sort of thing ! He says Lazio want him to sign a new contract but he’s agitating for a move to us...

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2018- 66 days remaining

Got to say watching young Declan excel in Midfield for Ireland in the last two internationals I’d be sorely tempted to start him there for us next season!

Re: Declan Rice

Mistake at Newcastle aside I thought he was comfortably our best midfielder early last season and was unfairly hung out to dry by Bilic ! He’s come on leaps and bounds since then and I have to say from what I saw in the last two games for Ireland I’d have no problems with him starting in midfield fo...

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2018- 66 days remaining

I’m hoping we bring two CM’s in tbh ! Nobes and Obiang can both on their day be very good players but we can’t ignore just how poor the pair of them were last season ! I’d bring two in and maybe offload Kouyate if somebody had to go and let Nobes and Obiang fight it out with the new lads for a spot ...

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2018- 78 days remaining

If he goes there’s no way it will be for £25-30m that would be criminal!! In today’s market and the fact we’d be unwilling sellers £50-60m has to be his value to us ! Not gonna lie I’d be absolutely gutted if he went, pace, power, guile and probably 20 goals if he stayed injury free next season, Jos...

Re: Boxing thread

And Wilder without doubt would have finished AJ in the Klitcshko fight ! Don't disagree with what your saying though Jumby he isn't easy on the eye and lacks any natural talent but has fast hands and can seriously bang. Like I say styles make fights and any heavyweight with fast hands will cause AJ ...

Re: Boxing thread

If Joshua does what Eddie Hearn says he is going to do and fight from now on at 17st 8-9 and no heavier than that then I think it will be very hard for any of the current heavyweights to get close to beating him as he’ll have the perfect combination of size, speed and power. He’s bin far too heavy a...

Re: West Ham Utd v Burnley: match thread

3-5-2 for me and a return to the Arnie and Antonio partnership up front, pace, power and guile plus Antonio is scoring again so his own confidence levels should be high! It's behind those two where the problems lie for me, Both Nobes and Cheik could have no complaints if they were dropped for Saturd...

Re: Boxing thread

Talent wise Wilder doesn't really posess a great deal but Styles make fights and he has the fast hands, the power and the wildness to give AJ nightmares IMO! For me it's a real 50/50 fight if it ever happens !

Re: Gold and Sullivan ???

Spot on PP  PP where do you think the money is going, it can't be all going on wages surely especially with the increased turnover ? We've never spent loads of money on transfer fees but in quite a few recent seasons we seem to have had around £30-35m to spend on fees and few players left, thi...

Re: Gold and Sullivan ???

I'm not saying the scouting could not be improved but he shifted the emphasis all on to that whilst skirting the main issue - money ! Carvalho, Dendonker, Joe Allen, the lad from Lille all good players that we've tried to sign but haven't because he won't spend the required money to sign them, that'...

Re: Javier Hernandez Signs

Nothing would surprise me with our owners tbh but I think it's just a case of Moyes doesn't rate him ! You would like to think he's sensible enough to realise that out of our current strikers he's by far and away our best option to get the goals that keeps us up ? People can be ridiculously stubborn...

Re: Javier Hernandez Signs

Couldn't agree more  a lot of people saying he can only play with Carroll or in a two but I don't buy that and for me him and Arnie is the obvious pick, he's mobile and contrary to what some think he works hard, with Arnie playing around him along with Arthur out wide and Lanzini he'd get us t...

Re: January transfer window

Two good, high energy CM's is a must for me, we basically don't have a midfield of any note ATM and after an all too brief little good spell we are getting overrun again. Sort the midfield out and we'll be fine til the summer where we can rebuild once again  , obviously if people like Sakho, A...

Re: West Bromwich Albion v West Ham United match thread

No Complaints from me about Bilic going into full on grind em out mode but he does need to man up and make a decision up top, either go 3-5-2 or 3-4-3 and leave either Chicha or Carroll on the bench! I'd even be tempted to try 4-2-3-1 again when Lanzini's back against the right opposition, Arnie and...

Re: Michail Antonio

It looks to me like he's been working very hard in the summer on his technical ability, it did cross my mind watching the highlights of him in the development squad game earlier in the summer, he was doing stuff in that game and since the season started that we haven't seen since he joined, his impr...

Re: West Ham Utd v Huddersfield Town: Match thread

Kouyate didn't have a great game but if it wasn't for him we wouldn't have got the first goal. In the cold light of day it is 3 points, but if (if) we set up like that all season, it will be a tough watch, regardless Ov the end result. Playing only 3 attacking players is not my cup of tea Huddersfi...

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2017

No mention of a snodgrass replacement by Bilic on Saturday, doesn't mean it won't happen just said he wants one more who I assume is Carvahlo, not expecting anything this week if I'm honest and it will come back and bite us and Bilic in particular!
