Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

1 player in and all discussion has already switched to us getting Reid’s wages off of their books

Bet someone else departs in this window right at the last moment with no replacement, probably lanzini.

God how I loathe these owners

Re: Protests against the board being planned

Slag them for stuff but the idea that all the crap football and failed players starts and ends with them is ridiculous imo. Everything that is rotten about the club begins with them. The infinite loop of managers going rotten in their second season begins with them. The **** matchday experience beg...

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

They literally told him “thanks, now **** off” 18 months ago and he STILL happily came back for more. My guess is that when it became clear Pel had fallen out with 2 or 3 senior players to the point of no return, they basically went for a meal with a previous employee, who’d not found a comparable j...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

Where and how do people get to watch Fortuna Liga in the UK to compare him to Fellaini, or even have a view on him at all?

He has a point about the fans.
Don’t let their press agents blinker you with faux intelligence and reasoning mate.

We’ve been shat on in every conceivable way possible.

Don’t be sucked in by the subtle The Sun-esque codas and lines. It’s the oldest hack trick in the world

Re: Protests against the board being planned

They need to **** off, simple as. You don’t make deals with the devil. I’ve snapped mate. At the start of this season I was still a little open to major changes being possible to improve things however naive or optimistic that was - improving the matchday, investing in players, sacking Brady That’s...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

Ken adds that: "A group of around 900 fans attended a protest" - he's taken the lowest estimate bandied around and used that, which tells you everything you need to know about where his loyalties lie. And following on, he also suggests supporters were to blame for the Albion defeat - apparently "th...

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions

That's an excellent idea E17. Interviews with the business owners who have had to shut up shop, the operators who have been priced out a pitch at the site. The Boleyn Phoenix, the non-retractable seating, Gold claims we wouldn't move if the views weren't comparable - Pretty much anything attributed...

Estuary - you ought to do a kickstarter or crowd source job and make that film now mate - something like that could really open a few media eyes

Someone should do a follow up to that film called “lollipop men” - with a C&B Stop/Go sign replacing the irons on the cover and the first scene Mark Noble going on about circus’

That film makes me want to punch things. I’ve never been able to get past the scene with Gold talking to the market sellers on Green Street.

Re: West Ham say pay to have your say in club affairs

Anyone who pays a penny towards this must have zero idea about how this club operates anyway. The owners don’t listen or understand the fanbase and some digital dosh isn’t going to change that. So it will be absolute nonsense like voting on man of the match, third shirt colours and mug designs to se...

Tourists, scarfers, old school supporters, first timers... Say what you will about our support, but Pep has come out today moaning about Citeh’s lot being half empty for their cup game. The league champions who spend billions on players. A half empty stadium. Makes what G&S have got away with even m...

Re: Protests against the board being planned

People shrug it off as not being a problem over there, but it’s an epidemic in my eyes, and massively contributes to the lack of atmosphere, togetherness and West Ham-ness of that crowd. These are the hearts and minds that could have been ‘converted’ into proper WHU fans though, with the right plan...

You’ll see a few tourists on Wednesday scattered round the stadium jump up when Liverpool score! Could be outnumbered at home?! One of my best mates is a lifelong Liverpool supporter who owns a WHU season ticket. This will be the first game he does this season. Honestly don’t blame him. 300 sovs an...
