Re: Positivity Thread 2018/19

Pissed up bloke on the high speed to Ebbsfleet. You brightened my mood by singing 'Bubbles/Chitty Chitty Bang Bang' mash up constantly all the way. Some folk looked frightened, but you cracked me up

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2018- 17 days remaining

I agree StokeIrons, not a wide player. The thing is, what does he offer that none of our current squad do? Seems to have no fixed role, but not in a Lanzini/Hazard way.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2018- 17 days remaining

I'm not witch hunting Kouyate. Have enjoyed him playing for us many times. Just needs a proper position and a coach who will keep him disciplined in it.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2018- 17 days remaining

Don't see too much difference. Vague positional indiscipline, occasional great run with the ball at feet, not great final ball.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2018- 17 days remaining

Kouyate = Headless chicken, pop up with occasional goal
Obiang = 1 game brilliant, 2 games average, pop up with 1 wonder goal

If Pellegrini thinks he can upgrade to players who suit his formation, they won't be greatly missed (football wise)

Wheeltsheere. Pretty sure he'd have had the most stringent of medicals.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2018- 27 days remaining

Chelsea didn’t want him as a midfielder. I would be curious to know what international teams he played in midfield against. As I said. Guesswork. This is the premier league we are talking about. According to a lot on here Obiang and Kouyate aren’t good enough and some of you are elevating Rice abov...

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2018- 30 days remaining

And we'd better damned well have a good baker on staff. Nip that one in the bud now. Think he'll be a good Kouyate, passing the ball more efficiently and with less 'headless chicken' type runs. Certainly never agreed with all previous managers signings, but always given them the benefit of the doubt.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2018- 30 days remaining

We (as fans or board) either stick our trust in Pellegrini, or don't. If he wants rapid wingers being fed by Yaya and Wilshere, then we need to believe he knows what he is doing. Honestly, I'm dubious of where the money is coming from, but don't hate it when it's spent on the managers choice of play...

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2018- 32 days remaining

We're funding this by selling Arnie. A late offer (too good to turn down) is probably already arranged.

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2018- 35 days remaining

Not happy with Wilshere at all. A signing we should have stayed far away from, not only will he be our biggest summer signing now and lauded around by the club and the social media to hide the fact we won't sign our first or 2nd choice attacking players but we shouldn't be signing him purely becaus...

There's a reason that none of these type of teams has gone in for him. I don't know what it is, but there's a reason.

Is Wildkard the new Thorshammer?? Would never describe Sakho as extremely skillful. I'd bring Payet back in a heartbeat. Shallow ain't I

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2018- 43 days remaining

I remember how many on here said we should've signed Inheacho, Slimani, Hogan etc, who have all flumped for their subsequent clubs. I think it's a case of luck sometimes. Many Stoke fans were happy to be rid of Arnie (& I didn't rate him here initially) but that turned out OK. At least the Dildo Sca...

I've seen him train with West Ham and I'm not sure you could be that bad if you tried!! Toblerone boots.
