Did well last night against limited opposition.
Have said for the last few years, his best position now is further forward. He can still pick a pass.

Re: ⚽ Rapid Wien vs West Ham Utd: match thread
It’s pretty ridiculous that we’re having to leave our only striker at home to rest him instead of play him in a game that sends us through to the last 16 in Europe if we win. There’s so much to be positive about with West Ham these days, but yeah, that is ridiculous. Spot on - and will be the thing...

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd v Liverpool: match thread
Re away fans in the home end - it's happened every time we have played Liverpool at the Bowl. The most blatant was the Monday night game a couple of seasons ago when I had one next to me who went wild after they scored their opener. I got up, got the steward and asked them to chuck them out pronto a...

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd v Liverpool: match thread
That is the beauty of Antonio. Even when he doesn't play that well, or is kept quiet hr still affects the game positively. He won both corners we scored from due to his direct running and maybe the one Dawson hit the bar from as well. He is still absolutely essential to our success Agreed ultimatel...

Re: Declan Rice
My point is not that you can't enjoy West Ham at the moment (Jesus if you don't enjoy the way they are playing at the moment there is something wrong with you) My point is that there seemed to be some justification of the owners in the rhetoric about how good the team is, i don't like that, i think...

Re: Declan Rice
It's an important discussion on whatever thread is correct. fwiw I cant disagree with anything Major says and I doubt many truly believe otherwise. Lets start with Dec. A genuine generational talent and the best player I have ever seen play for us. Enjoy him every second he is here. I've said before...

Re: Manuel Lanzini (New Contract Signed)
Which part are you disagreeing with?
I like benrahma but for me, he makes the wrong decision too often in the final third and loses the ball too easily, too often.

I love him. Always have, always will.
Deserves the start ahead of benrahma all day.

Something i've thought for a while - i think Cress might have the best first touch in the entire squad. It's almost always exquisite and something that gets overlooked.

I broke my own rule and listened to his nonsense from last night. You're spot on - it's embarassing.

I'm sure (and hope) it's been said already but that performance from Bowen last night was incredible.
He led the line so so well, never stopped running, always showing for it and giving an option. He wins so much more in the air than I expect him to as well.
Immense. He's some player.

Oh pyscho I do hope you're right.
I also thought there was no way Sullivan was spending his own money this window.

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2021
On Lingard - and I said as much before - his form dramatically dipped once he knew where he was with Man Utd and England and thank f*ck before that happened he was unreal and played a big part in getting us to 6th. It's been clear to me from day 1 where his heart lies and he's had no real desire to ...

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2021
Laughable, embarassing, pathetic that they' try the same old tricks as soon as it looks like they might be spending proper money on a player we desperately need.
So frustrating but they know they can get away with it so will keep on doing it until the day they leave.

A word for Vlad last night.
I said to my dad that we havent had a right back with this consistently good delivery in what seems like an age. Quality crosses time and again and all round brilliant play.
What a signing. What a player.
