Re: What are you playing right now?

I still haven’t touched another game since Helldivers 2. It’s so much fun. Best co-op title in years. It’s Starship Troopers for flip sake! The Dark Forces remake. Lovely visuals & controls are spot on. Shame the game is a bit bloody stupid in places, with puzzles that Poirot would struggle to s...

Re: The Future of Xbox

The Xbox Podcast earlier this week basically was much ado about nothing. Phil Spencer did confirm at this time four Xbox games (yet to be revealed) will be released on other platforms but they are not any of the new upcoming titles such as Hellblade 2, Indiana Jones, Avowed etc. But no chance it’s G...

Re: What did you watch last night?

Oppenheimer was very good and it looks like, as you say it’s going to clean up but KotFM is a level above for my money. A legit masterpiece and possibly the best film of this millenium. Killers of the Flower Moon just didn’t hit for me. It was obviously well made and well acted but at times I felt ...

Re: What did you watch last night?

The Holdovers. Nice little movie but I’m not convinced it’s quite worthy of all the accolades/awards. Not in such a strong year for film as this. I might be a bit biased because I’ve never really ‘got’ Paul Giamatti - going back to Sideways (the most overrated film of al time) - I think he overacts...

Re: What are you playing right now?

Helldivers 2 on PS5, also on PC. This is going to be a sleeper hit for Sony. Wasn’t sold on it until the most recent state of play where it gave off neat Starship Troopers vibes. The wanton violence and humor in a live co-op game where teams of four infiltrate planets to neutralize a dangerous threa...

The Future of Xbox

Early last week I saw on Twitter rumours flying that Microsoft are considering porting certain Xbox exclusives to Sony and Nintendo consoles. Among the first games mentioned is the highly rated Hi-Fi Rush and since then it’s exploded to much bigger titles including Starfield, Gears of War and even t...

A bit of a shock to the system but I’m watching season 7 of Rick and Morty and it’s nowhere near a disaster as I was expecting.
Some decent episodes and the replacement voice actors for both characters are about 95% spot on.

Re: What did you watch last night?

Well, I’ve had a fun week with the choices of film I decided to watch Hereditary Writer and director Ari Aster’s debut is a supernatural horror with riveting performances from the likes of Toni Collette and some truly shocking moments. If you’ve seen it then it’s difficult to forget, especially that...

We got 17 inches of snow over the weekend and the current temperature is -12°C.
I hate Michigan winters.

Re: Chilli Sauce? Salad?

Love to grab a mixed offering if it’s there (doner meat, shish etc) but I am delighted to go just large lamb doner with extra peppers with chili and garlic sauce.

I sadly don’t get to do it with any frequency but I did nail a couple when I was back in London in October.

All4. Film Possessor Sci-fi horror where people use thought power(can't think of a better way to describe it, wished I'd payed more attention at school  ) to get others to commit murder for gain. Gory and for me at the end of a long day, needing Her OFTness to explain WTAF was going on at tim...

Re: What Are You Listening To Right Now

Been listening to The Last Dinner Party, what with their debut album out in a few weeks and every track is really good so far. “Nothing Matters” is probably their best known (FC24 players will certainly know it) but “Our Lady of Mercy” and “Sinner” really break them apart from anything else. Roll on...

Re: What did you watch last night?

Just finished Castlevania Nocturne first season. I am a big fan of the Castlevania series that was doing the rounds on Netflix these past few years. It ended on a bit of a “meh” but I welcomed another show set in a different time period with Nocturne’s reveal. It didn’t disappoint. Solid action, hum...

Re: GTA VI

I own GTAV on Xbox 360, PS4 and got the PS5 upgrade a few weeks back free with my PS+ account.
I fully intend to replay through it in the coming months, hyping myself up for VI.

Re: What are you playing right now?

Just started playing Horizon Zero Dawn, bought it ages ago on sale but never bothered to play. Its actually quite good (only playing cos Bethesda update ruined my modded Skyrim) The main character is quite likeable, the voice acting is decent and the story is intriguing. Any one played the new vers...

Once the darling and hero of the civilized world as we watched his resolute leadership of New York City following the events of 9/11.
