Her definition of a successful business seems to be one that pays her a lot.

Re: Protests against the board being planned

This is all pretty much spot on mate. Until they're shown up for the type of people they really are (hopefully with our efforts/help), they'll just keep squeezing every pound they can out of the club. After all, when your an alleged billionaire, why stop there when you can get another ten, twenty m...

Re: A vote of confidence [POLL]

So even if you include loan fees as lost money that's 12m lost not 20m and most of that in Hernandez who was never going to have a big resale value when we bought him, which is fine if we'd got the best of him but we didn't, because we played as if Carroll was on the pitch initially then like Arnie...

Re: A vote of confidence [POLL]

That's on GSB though. They're the ones that have hired said manager's, they're the ones that decided scouting and analytics aren't required, they're the ones that chose to use preferred agents instead, they're the ones that haven't put any long-term strategy into our approach to signing players or ...

Re: A vote of confidence [POLL]

To be fair it gets thrown out a lot that managers pick players. I don't think many of our managers want to be rooting around in the bargain bin for has beens and never wases. The budget sets the frame for managers to look in. Then take the famous summer long negotiating sagas for players we don't s...

Re: A vote of confidence [POLL]

It's the fact you are ignoring that is the issue IMO. Survival for survivals sake to take more money out of an asset. You can lay subs, formations, training and attitude (to a point I think the survival poison drips from the top) on managers, but transfers, tiny budgets, nickle and dime transfer de...

Re: A vote of confidence [POLL]

I don't think anyone realistically expects that of our club. We expect competence and a have a go attitude. We get gross incompetence and a survival is enough attitude. You need survival to have the choice of investing the money wisely (ignoring the fact we don't do that). I have been seeing simila...

Re: A vote of confidence [POLL]

The club has enough to invest as Leicester have done. Maybe admin was the better way to get a cheap new stadium and breaking the rules the best way to jump start a run. My guess is had GSB done it people would be slaughtering them for being money grabbing cheats. Is what Leicester did professional ...

Re: A vote of confidence [POLL]

Where's the handbag emoji when I need it? City break even, meet FFP and are developing a youth academy for the future. It was also more than a few hundred million. You seem a bit touchy about it Jim, I wasn't even talking about city just the reality of modern football. You can be the best run club ...

Re: A vote of confidence [POLL]

Wealthy owners mean the square root of nothing if they don't run the club properly. I loosely follow Malaga and their Billionaire has got very bored of his toy; and now they wallow in the Segunda. They'd been in the Champions League at one point. Equally running it properly won't bring success unle...

Re: A vote of confidence [POLL]

Voted no and would most likely vote no whoever the board were. Success on the pitch would need min 300m sticking in, that might get us a trophy. Off the pitch now needs what 700m-1bn mark to rebuild. If the club took that on it would kill us so it needs to be the owner - can they even do that with f...

Nowhere near top 10 quality
If you rotate the fullbacks with (many would say worse) Zab and Masuaka then that group played an awful lot of games for a team that finished 10th.

Re: Deloitte money league, Where are we ranked?

We'll need to agree to disagree on this one as I don't think Cresswell and Zabaleta are top 10 players anymore and Rice would we wasted in a 3 man defence. I'd suggest that Zabaleta and Cresswell are perfectly adequate back-up but not first choice anymore. I haven't mentioned zabaleta. Rice is a DM...

Re: Jack Wilshere

His continued absences from first team action say more about Sullivan than they do Wilshere himself. We all know Sullivan shared the same reservations about him as all of us, hence his preference for a 1 year deal, but he allowed himself to be hoodwinked by Pellers's insistence he could be a £100m ...

Re: Deloitte money league, Where are we ranked?

So we need top 6 players as back ups as well?

Fab
Cresswell
Frederick's
Diop
Ogbonnna
Rice

Top 10 back 6? I would think it probably is, the difference makers we pay through the nose for need to step up and stop hiding.

Is transfermarkt wildly wrong then as it seems to confirm what she says. Roughly 200m net spent.

If you're referring to our players only turning up against top 6, I wouldn't even agree with that this season.
No I was referring to the post saying we needed to sign top 6 players to get our superstars to be interested enough to do their jobs.
