Re: West Ham United v Tottenham Hotspur: Match Thread 23/11/2019
How? Fredericks clearly won the ball before any contact. Son deliberately tripped Gomes without getting within 3 foot of the ball. Gotta be on a wind up. Launching yourself with two feet off the floor and tackling studs up is a red card, he got a touch on the ball and then went straight through wit...

That Fredericks tackle was way worse than Son's foul on Gomes.il_martello_di_genovesi wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2019 8:49 pm Reckless and endangering an opponent? The guy he fouled did actually do that a couple of weeks and didn’t even serve a suspension...

reckless - lucky boy..you can call bollox all you want. look at it again in slo-mo..... https://wittyfutty.com/2019/11/video-fredericks-with-a-brutal-tackle-on-son/ That is a red card tackle. Two feet off the floor and studs showing. We would've been fuming if that was a tackle on one of ours. I th...

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions
Don't know if this has been raised yet but there's now a new policy of searching kids at the bridge entrances. Sheff U was the first game I got asked if they could search my two 9 year olds (told them to jog on), and then this Sat, one of the stewards tried to metal-detect one of my boys before I h...

Re: Manuel Pellegrini West Ham United’s 17th manager
'oust - the stadium naming rights is one small fiasco amongst several - that's maybe £3M annually to the club at best. If their hands are tied they supplied the rope. There's plenty of other areas with commercial tie-ups that we seem to miss the boat on too. Take a look at what the Mancs (U) bring ...

Re: Jan Transfer Window 18/19
I could be wrong but I think release clauses are only legally binding for transfers within Spain and Portugal. If a club from outside of Spain and Portugal puts in a bid meeting the release clause the club owning the contract of the player can still turn it down. There is a way round it and that is ...

Re: Marko Arnautovic Signs
I honestly don't remember that. Where I sat, in the BMU, used to - probably correctly - consider him to be our best forward (before his injury). Even after it, we were willing him on. He was different gravy; see for instance that superb goal he scored when we knocked City out of the cup. His best e...

Re: Jan Transfer Window 18/19
If he really does want to leave against the club's wishes, will he go into "I want out of Stoke" mode? Probably. Surely we all had to realise that any player who does this to a club in order to earn more elsewhere once is likely to do it all over again when a similar situation presents it...

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2018- 74 days remaining
United one is not really comparable a week before a cup final, same with Chelsea, resting players before the big game Tottenham, Ali and Son, levels above the rest, the rest of them by the by for me, Davies solid player(about cresswell level), Llorente at the end of his career, Foyth no way, Sanchez...

Re: Summer Transfer Window 2018- 74 days remaining
In a league Maiga and Valenica would run riot in Barkley and Wilshere, don't want either, they're not out of our league, they are in our league, take off the over rated English varnish and media and hype and they are about our mid-table level but on obscene wages. People massively over rated these ...

Much as I can't stand them, 2 of them own the club and the other is our CEO so we cannot really expect them not to attend.

bill mate, what's your hope for the short term future? there is a nuclear option which makes both our owners position and our occupancy of the olympic stadium untennable. make no mistake it will devastating for the club on the pitch, but we may be in the situation where we need to go back to go for...

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions
Relegation please I don't want us to paper over the cracks by staying up this season. GSB will then run wild in the media, declaring how this season has been a success and all of their decisions have been justified Tiers of the stadium closed off, 25-30k in there for games, even more empty seats. S...

Re: Andy Carroll
They 100% weren’t rubbish. Unusually ITK on this and they were in for him. They were enquiring about just about every target man striker in the PL. The fact that they got their first choice one of those in the end indicates to me that there was never any real hope of us offloading Carrol on to them.

Straight up choice Dendoncker to come in but means we sell oxford as he will basically take oxfords place in the team plus almost pay for him Who would you pick? Re: January transfer window
I seriously cannot understand why we wouldn't stump that up for maddison but will for cairney. Absolutely bonkers transfer policy I think it is pretty obvious (unfortunately). Fulham have said ‘not for sale’ for Cairney, so the owners can slap in bids of £20 million or more safe in the knowledge th...

Cheers Boleyn Bill, wasn't criticising your figures, I really cant understand how it all works but your reply as to why Fulham have given this figure clears it up a bit. I still love the days we picked up Devonshire for £15000 and McAvennie for £350000 which was a lot in those days The problem now ...
