Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

I can’t blame Moyes for today, both the first and second goals were laughable. No manager can legislate for that. Fab I can forgive for obvious reasons, but Diop was a disgrace for the second. After letting in bounce god knows how many times on the edge of the area in the final 15 mins of a huge 6 p...

They have filed these accounts early, and not including last summer transfer spending.

It’s all smoke and mirrors with them
In fairness the accounts year end is 31st May so the accounts are never going to include the summers spending.

Re: WH Holding Ltd accounts released

Realistically if we go down there is a long list of players who will be leaving because they would see themselves as being too good for the championship. These players will no doubt be sold at reasonable prices due to their stock having dipped after this years performances and also because clubs wil...

Re: West Ham United v West Bromwich Albion: FAC4R Match Thread

It seems without Antonio we have next to no hope.

Can anyone remember the last time we played even well for a half when Antonio wasn’t on the pitch?

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

Keh? What have I missed? He’s been pretty pony in England overall People seem to think this but he’s just not been given a chance at Chelsea, whilst he did well at Palace. In 56 premier league games he’s scored 13 goals and contributed 3 assists, which doesn’t sound very impressive. However if you ...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

I’m not Barkley’s biggest fan, I think he’s failed to reach his potential by some way, but he still walks straight in our first team. I don’t even think that’s debatable.

Re: Deloitte money league, Where are we ranked?

Tottenham’s revenue is 240% of ours. Admittedly that factors in their successful champions league campaign but it doesn’t reflect the increase in revenue they will get from their new stadium. That really shows how financially the move to the Olympic Stadium has not caused us to progress, whilst the ...

Re: Sheffield United v West Ham United: Match Thread

In Bournemouth win tomorrow we’ll drop in to the bottom three.

We then have Leicester, Man City and Liverpool twice in our next 6 games.

Moyes has a job on his hands making sure we aren’t adrift in the bottom three by the end of those 6 games.

Chris Wilder has been a strident critic of VAR. I wonder if he will saying the same after that.
He was pretty fair in his comments to be honest.

Re: Sheffield United v West Ham United: Match Thread

Martin’s pass was poor for the goal but Balbuena looked like he stuck in treacle. Admittedly Martin then had a chance to atone for his error as the finish was poor but couldn’t.

We need a new goalie desperately.

It not been a great game but in the situation we are in, I’d certainly take a third clean sheet and a 0-0.

I think we're the better team and that Arfur, Lanzini and Anderson look fairly sprightly.
Agree that Arthur, Lanzini and Anderson look likely but Sheffield United have definitely been the more dominant side so far.

Re: Sheffield United v West Ham United: Match Thread

I haven’t watched much of Sheffield United this season, but they look like a very difficult team to play against. Be interesting to see if they can keep up their pressing at this intensity.

Anderson has to scored that.

Only slight positive is it doesn’t look any where near as bad at last time. Still looking at 4-6 weeks minimum though you’d think.

Re: Sheffield United v West Ham United: Match Thread

If we are 4-4-1-1 it seems standard to me. I think we’ll be playing wing backs, I certainly don’t want to see a right hand side of Lanzini and Zabaleta. If Zabaleta is playing RB he needs a play like Snodgrass in front of him, not Lanzini. I think we’ll play either 5-3-1-1 or 3-5-1-1 depending on h...

Antonio ruled out according to Moyes.
Another muscle injury?
Did Moyes give any indication as to whether he was close returning?

We need a fit Antonio back ASAP.

Fosu-Mensah seems to be out of favour at Manure. Not sure why (injury? Attitude?). Might be a reasonable loan to cover the right back issue?
He’s looked pretty decent whenever I’ve seen him play. Certainly has some potential, I’d be open for this kind of signing.

A loan with an option to buy.

Re: Joe Cole as a coach?

Difference is, Neville is an arrogant, self important, reactive tosspot who loves the sound of his own voice. Joe actually seems like a much calmer and thoughtful personality. You're not asking him to be a manager remember, just a coach. A day to day character around the players who can help tactic...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

Cheers fjthegrey and cellar-door!

Sounds like he could be a very good signing.

Ideally we get the 18 month loan with an option to buy, all the while Moyes continues to improve us meaning there wouldn’t be too much pressure on the kid this season.
