Re: Season ticket renewal 24/25

Our prices should be a fraction of what other London Clubs charge, because our match day experience is a fraction of what other London clubs clubs offer. Whilst I agree about the match day experience, our tickets are a fraction of Tottenham’s for example: North Stand Spurs season ticket prices are ...

Re: England -v- Brazil & then -v- Belgium

I can't see anyone better than Bowen and Saka on the right wing. Southgate has got to play flair players that can get goals because our defence is really crap. Also happy that he is unscathed and fit for Newcastle. Looks like he is ahead of Palmer in the pecking order, which is no easy feat. Bowen’...

Played well without being amazing, one of the better players on the pitch. Overall helped his claim but he still has it all to do to make the final 23 imo.

Re: ✍ Welcome, Jarrod Bowen

I hope Bowen starts against Belgium, sounds like missing out on the World Cup hit him hard last time. He gave us a great moment in Prague, so I can’t bring myself to hope he doesn’t get another chance to secure himself a place on the plane to Germany. It’s never felt right to me to actively hope our...

He who can’t be named has said that Palace have made Johnson an offer more in line with his demands, an offer as things stand we aren’t willing to match. I can’t see the Spurs links being true.

Amazing what spin and points of view can do
City’s domestic domination over the last 5/6 years is indeed quite boring and in no way comparable to us reaching three European quarter finals.

Re: Opta ranks PL teams' run=ins

We’ve got some really tough fixtures coming up, which only made the Burnley game more frustrating as it should have been a three point banker. If we want to finish top 8 I think we’ll need to 13/14 points from our last 10 games and avoid defeat in at least 2/3 of our away games at Wolves, Chelsea an...

Re: West Ham United v Aston Villa: match thread (17.03.24)

Areola for Fabianski Aguerd for Zouma Phillips for Alvarez (he needs minutes in his legs in prep for BL first leg) Keep the rest the same and start building momentum Think I agree with this. The use of Phillips makes me nervous but as you say he needs minutes ahead of the Leverkusen game, whilst Al...

Re: UEFA Europa League 2023-24

Whilst Leverkusen is likely the second hardest draw we could get, the second leg being at home is a huge positive. As impressive as their season has been so far, if our front four turn up like they did against Freiberg then Leverkusen will struggle to contain them. We just need to ensure we don’t lo...

Re: 🚗 🚌 🚅 ✈ The Away Game & Match Day Logistics Thread

Where are people planning on staying? I doubt I’ll be able to get a ticket but looking to travel over there and watch the game in the surround area but it doesn’t look like there is much availability for hotel rooms in Leverkusen…at least not at a reasonable price. Wondering how many others are in a...

Is the time of the game confirmed? Considering getting the Eurostar Thursday morning but if it’s an early kick off again then I won’t.

Re: UEFA Europa League 2023-24

I asked this a few weeks ago and was told England cannot get more than 5 CL spots. So if for example us winning the EL gave enough coefficient points to make 5th CL, the team in 5th wouldn't get the spot we would. But not gonna talk about that as its bad karma and gonna focus on us. Reality I doubt...

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!

Great result yesterday, was nice to see Moyes recognise the change in dynamic on our left side without Emerson and how that impacts Paqueta. I thought his choice of starting line-up was spot on, making a big decision in the process dropping JWP to move Paqueta inside and incorporate a 4th attacking ...

Kudus will steal the headlines but Antonio’s first half performance set us on our way when things could have been tight. Huge performance from him.

Re: ✍ Welcome, Kalvin Phillips

Looked like a really peculiar signing in January. It was one of the few positions we seemed well equipped at. For most of this season we haven’t had a central midfielder on the bench, that doesn’t suggest we were well equipped. The signing may have been a disaster but it logically made sense as we ...

Re: ✍ Welcome, Kalvin Phillips

I am still of the opinion that a fully fit Kalvin Phillips is a better DM than Alvarez. The question is whether we will ever see a fully fit Phillips ever again. I wouldn't gamble £35m on him, i would gamble £ 12m. A better DM than Alvarez is a big shout, I’m sure Phillips is better than he is show...
