Re: Plastic fantastic

I took my sister to see us play Wrexham FA Cup 3rd Round back in '81 - couldn't get us a seat so we were stood amongst the West Ham fans - we were speaking in Welsh and this attracted some looks , didn't help when I tried explaining we were West Ham fans  - nothing happened and fully understan...

Re: Guy Ritchie

Daniel Ings was hilarious . I kinda get where MB is coming from in regards to Ms Kaya's ability as an actor , but her slow deliberate delivery may have been part of the characterisation Guy Ritchie was looking for - I thought everyone played their part well enough though Tommy Dixon's Liverpool acce...

Re: Return of The I've Been To The Cinema To See thread

Also saw Dune part 2 last night. Preferred the first one to be honest. It good but there is only so much of Zendaya ‘bitch face’a man can take, I also felt the end of was rushed (wonder if there is a longer cut that will appear). Looks glorious but doesn’t quite reach the heights of the wonderful f...

When I was last in London [ not for a footie match I might add ] travelling to Hatfield Peverel I got talking to some Eastern Europeans [ Slovenians ] who had come over for the weekend to watch Tottenham . Why not come to London and take in a game , football is part of the entertainment business , n...

Re: Trump

We laugh but that's been a common trump scam. People donate thinking it's a one off only to find tiny small print saying it's a monthly charge - which they can't afford but many do anyway to 'save America' Poor old Frank Hester ended up giving the Tories £10m - always read the small print .

Binge-watched it while her Ladyship went on a Mosaic Course down in Dunblane last week - At first I was unsure ...I mean why make a series using the very same subject matter as the film - but it works , it's bloody brilliant . Introduced it to her Ladyship and Heir apparent over the weekend - they'r...

Re: Return of The I've Been To The Cinema To See thread

if you love the first film and want to truly understand the entire thing, the book is still incredibly readable and fills in the gaps a lot more because it far to complex to cover in a film without the audience getting, in general, bored to tears because it's VERY political. and goes into great dep...

With all their "sophisticated" long ball over the top to Watkins, dirty niggly snide players, that **** of a goalkeeper - if you cross-pollinated Spurs and Benny from Crossroads, you'd end up with Aston Villa.

 bit harsh .

Re: Computer stuff.

If you're willing to take a chance on the second hand market there are plenty of cheaper options . A Dell Precision [ insert model ] would cope with what your daughter needs - there's a firm from Liverpool I've dealt with 3-4 times , each laptop has been fine . I could send you a link if you wanted .

Hopefully Moyesie watched the Tottenham game and has instructed the forwards to close down their goalkeeper , centre halves + full backs as they try playing the ball out of defence .

Same team same tactics as for Freiburg .

Re: Ghosts

Forgot to post this before. My brother’s bro in law had a three storey townhouse in Dulwich. At least one family member had seen a ghost of a young lady on the landing / corridor at night which floated or came closer to them and then disappeared. The foreign au pair mentioned seeing it as well. It ...

The only time I've seen Dua Lipa was on the Graham Norton Show a few weeks ago - She said she came to London from Albania aged 15 and blah blah blah .... Listen if this is the type of musical artiste young folk want to listen to then good luck to them , I'm just glad I got to see and hear the likes ...
