Re: Postecoglou: are the cracks beginning to show? [non WHU]

They finished 8th last year and lost one of the best strikers in world football. He’s done a great job, though absolutely terrible today. I think Kane was actually starting to hold them back. He was too big for the club. The best thing for ange was Kane decided he wanted out, I don’t think that was...

Probably an obvious comment but I think to more dictates the rest of our season.

I think it’s so important to win tomorrow to take some momentum into Thursday and to help the atmosphere.

A tough one for Moyes who I’m sure will want to give it our best shot on Thursday.

Re: Bayer Leverkusen v West Ham Utd Europa QF 1st leg match thread

I’m going to get pelters here judging by the comments but that was an awful performance. Paqueta and Kudus not in the game at all. We didn’t get on the ball and try to make anything happen at any point in the game. The central boys couldn’t string a pass together. Our two players on yellows both go...

Re: Bayer Leverkusen v West Ham Utd Europa QF 1st leg match thread

Leverkusen are a good side but they are probably not as good as Man City, Arsenal or Liverpool If we had lost to any of them them with 1 shot vs 32 we would be disappointed We defended very well for 85 minutes but should have attacked them more as it was clear Antonio had the running of them. We ar...

Re: Bayer Leverkusen v West Ham Utd Europa QF 1st leg match thread

I cannot believe the narrative here is straight on to Moyes being too defensive  how did we expect to beat Leverkusen over two legs? Obviously being tight and compact in the first leg IS the game plan against the most in form team in Europe. To get on Moyes back after this result is just prett...

What's the thought process? It defies logic.

We played to a plan for 3/4 of the game and played it fairly well, but the wheels were coming off everyone could see that.

The subs didn’t change that game. They were all over us for 90 minutes. They were much better

I agree, paqueta not being able to make a tackle and playing that centre role hampered us. More because of Antonio’s lack of ability though

Re: Bayer Leverkusen v West Ham Utd Europa QF 1st leg match thread

As good as they are, maybe if we had shown a bit of ambition to attack we may have got something - just maybe. Defend, defend, defend and still lose and pretty much out of the competition - so ****ing predictable. I think that’s pretty naive given their performances this year. Easy dig to make though

Just come up against a much better team tonight.

No one to blame this evening.

Moyes has overachieved with this squad in the league, arguably Europe too.

At least some more Saturday kickoffs next year.

Re: Wolverhampton Wanderers v West Ham United - match thread

Was it? Struck me (and caveat, I've only seen it once) that Fabianski had a perfectly good view of the ball as the lad in front of him was stooping allowing Lukasz to enjoy direct line of sight. It wasn't Alex Song vs Arsenal, that's for sure. He couldn’t see a thing, he wouldn’t of got anywhere ne...

Re: West Ham Utd v Tottenham: match thread

Tonight highlighted was an utterly dreadful January transfer window we had.

Moyes was scared to bring anyone on, not that we had anyone to bring on.

Players were shattered. The 11 played well so no complaints there, but another team I felt that were there for the taking.
