Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd v Tottenham Hotspur: match thread (20/10)

as long as we smash them who cares. yarmolenko played full 90 mins. played both internationals so he will either have increased his match fitness or be knackered ! starts the match but snoddy on when he tires. cant wait for the match. been too long without proper football rather than meaningless in...

If clubs signed a form & sent it to the FA before 11pm regarding a player, they have until 1am to complete the deal.

Scotland is open until midnight.

China is open until the end of Feb......

Re: Transfer Window: January 2017

What I don't understand is, why did we chase Hogan for the entire transfer window almost, only to decide on deadline day that we don't want him?

Re: Transfer Window: January 2017

Although we should never spend for the sake of it, I'd be interested to know what kind of transfer budget G&S had in mind for January as it appears to be £0. In the long run we're in the plus because of the Payet sale We spent 18 million on Fonte & Snodgrass and made 25 million on the Payet...

Re: Transfer Window: January 2017

Had Ogbonna been fit and Payet playing like last year no business would have been OK (presuming we would have still looked at and discounted Hogan), only one player moved so far I think would have seriously improved the team, Schneiderlein. Lot of cash but a good Noble replacement. Possibly Lookmam...

Re: Transfer Window: January 2017

SSN have reported that we won't be doing any business today (At least that's what they quoted Slaven saying.) So all we've done is replace an injured ogbonna and payet who we sold with fonte and snodgrass. Does this mean that had Ogbonna been fit and payet wanted to have stayed, that we would have d...

Antonio very well may be the most consistant winger in the league.

Re: West Ham United V Crystal Palace: Match thread

That 2nd half was possibly the best 45min in a long long time. Massive credit to Slav for handling the situation this week and even more so for today. I love you SB. It was classic Slav. We rarely play well in the first half in my opinion, have been much better in the second half while he's ...

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions

Did anyone else feel that the stewarding had improved today? I was in 216 and the stewards were generally quite fair and friendly. I saw a few stewards walking up and down the stairs during the game, just checking things. One steward asked a lad to put his e-cig away. The lad apogolgised and put it ...

Re: West Ham United V Crystal Palace: Match thread

[quote="Exiledin cardiff" ]I don't know if one feels same as but Noble was lucky to be on the pitch. His blatant kick out in the first half merited a yellow card at the least . His kamikaze tackle, would have been his second, not the example he needed to show. Personally Reid is a much bet...

Re: West Ham United V Crystal Palace: Match thread

I was generally quite pleased in the first half. All 11 players gave 100% commitment, worked their socks off - We just lacked quality massively, but I thought it was an excellent effort from the lads. Second half and we continued the same, 11 players with 100% effort and work rate, but we were pushi...

Re: West Ham United V Manchester United: Match Thread

Just confirmed on motd what 45000 people already knew. If anything, Jones was the aggressor going in with a scissor tackle. His triple barrel roll got Feghouli sent off. Zlatan & 2 others offside for their 2nd. If it was genuine mistakes from the official then it would even out at the end of th...

Re: Olympic Stadium Discussion and Questions

The stadium really didn't help us today. At the old stadium, we would have really got behind the team today when we we're down to 10 & been on top of the ref for every little foul, or claiming every 50/50 throw in to the point where we may have got an extra 1 or 2 decisions go out way. I think t...

Re: West Ham United V Manchester United: Match Thread

I thought we started the game very well, we looked like we were controlling the play and we looked set for an entertaining game. 15 minutes in, the game is ruined by an incorrect decision, the ref seemed to take a fair bit of time and looked like he made his decision based on the Man U players react...

Re: Leicester City vs West Ham United: Match Thread

Gotta play the strongest team and try and get the 3 points. I'd rather we went all our for 3 points in this one & as a result have to rest a few players for the Man U game if I'm honest.

Re: West Ham United v Burnley: Match Thread

Obiang and Noble both hit the post in the first half, we dominated the ball and looked comfortable all over the pitch then the second half came and we seemed to want to keep it 1 nil rather than carry on as we were. We were nervous in possession, hesitant in defence and completely devoid of any tac...

Re: West Ham United v Burnley: Match Thread

Not many playing our formation either. We had five touches in the opposition box against Liverpool, probabky not many more today except set pieces I don't think Obiang, Noble, Lanzini and even payet entered the opposition box once we simply play seven men behind the ball, give it to Payet, or hit i...

Re: West Ham United v Burnley: Match Thread

Did anyone else get told to sit down today? in block 216, 1 steward came down within about 5 minutes of kick off and tried to tell us all to sit down. He gave it a good go for about 5 minutes, before giving up, bless him!
