Re: West Ham Utd vs Sunderland: match thread

19th century football returning to the Boleyn!! (Not a dig at Sam but he has to do what he has to do to stay in the league and that will mean trying to stop us scoring) I can see this being a testy 1st half ending 1-1 (Defoe WILL score for them, (the law of returning players)) but after the break Su...

Re: Tuesday's news & gossip 20th Oct (includes WHU)

The one by John Cross about young Oxford is OTT IMO. He is proper having a pop at us. If the England youngsters don't do well it'll all be West Hams fault. We are stopping the boy advancing his career. Trying to put up the possibility of his head being turned by one of the other teams who previousl...

Cheers Jarvo.

I can't remember a season, if there has ever been one, where there have been so many positive articles in the press about us. It makes such fantastic reading!!! :D

I can't help but keep watching Payet's goal again and again. The through ball from Lanzini was inch perfect and the way Payet took it made it look so easy but in fact he had already sold Hennessy with the dummy before he actually chipped it. (I do feel a little sorry for Hennessey as it looks on fir...

Obiang, definitely.
Will be solid paired with Cheik in front of the back 4 and giving Noble license to get forward more to utilise his excellent distribution.

I'm just watching BFS being interviewed and I cannot believe he is blaming the players for throwing away the game by "galavanting forward looking for a 2nd goal when 1 goal is enough to win the game".
F*****g p***k!!!!!

Re: West Ham Utd vs Burnley: match thread

I know Nene only had 15 minutes but I thought he showed some class and plenty of desire, surely he is worth testing from the start to see if he's worth keeping for next year. A couple of rookie mistakes from Burke, fortunately not punished, but should prove to be a good learning experience. Overall,...

Re: Queens Park Rangers v West Ham Utd: match thread

Well pleased for Burke that we had a clean sheet on his debut. I thought he did well although he still ha a lot of learning to do, which can only come with experience against top players. If we can get him in for a few more games this season then maybe he could prove to be a good resource next seaso...

Re: Leicester City vs West Ham Utd: match thread

Why O Why O Why does Sam not do what he succeeded with in the first part of the season doing what no other manager has done? i.e. play Downing in his best position. I was not convinced by the signing of Downing but was very happy to be proved wrong with some outstanding performances by him at the ti...

Watched bits of their game tonight and it seems Pullis has already got them well versed in his cheating tactics at set peices, snide tackles, constant bitching at the referee etc.
I am already starting to hate them as i have hated Stoke over the Pullis years!!!!

Where's the dislike button???? 'cos there's some rubbish being posted in here that seriously needs to be curbed!!! We're West Ham, we've just been promoted, we would be bankrupt if our current owners hadn't stepped in, we need to get back on track after a very bad run. Don't expect Barcelona style p...

Leave it, forget it. It was one of the best passes you'll ever see, one of the best first touches and a quality finish on his wrong side. That's why he's a 20m plus player. UsainBolt wouldn't have got close to him in that situation. The man speaks sense. If it was going to be stopped it had to be d...

Sorry, but Carlton Cole should have wrapped that up with that late chance. know I'm going to get ripped a new one by half a dozen people here, but how exactly could he have done better on that at full stretch with De Gea closer to the ball and getting his foot to it first? I make you right VikeltAu...
