What I loved most was the fact that despite Antonio’s presence we mostly played our football on the floor knowing that Burnley’s defensive strength is in the air.

I can see what Brentford are about. I can see their set up and style of play. I can see what their manager is asking of them. I haven’t a clue how all that applies to us.

It beggars belief that a man with all those years of football and management experience can be so tactically inept. Yarmolenko and Fornals off, Haller and Wilshere on, Antonio wide might have made a difference.

How would we have done if we had kept the players but swapped the managers?

Isn’t it a prerequisite that if we are trying to sign a player that he actually wants to be at West Ham?

Efficient, effective teams need to :
* Have energy, belief, confidence, commitment
* Press in numbers
* Close down opposition space and time
* Retain possession
* Once possession is lost work as a team to recover it
* Move forward with pace and precision

Do we regularly do any of these?

I don’t think that our manager is suited to, understands, or is in tune with, how football is played these days.

With hindsight didn’t we do well to score two goals at Wimbledon?

Can we make sure that there is a lot of snow on the pitch.
