Re: West Ham Utd v Liverpool: match thread

We will lose this one 6-0 and it will be doom and gloom on here and toxic at the ground We will beat Brighton in a scrappy 1-0 and some will see it as turning the corner while others won't want to give Moyes and credit We will lose 4-0 to Man City and it will be doom and gloom again We will go to An...

Re: West Ham United v Everton: Match Thread

Given the sounds of our injury list for this one, I would play: Randolph Diop - Balbuena - Ogbonna Zabaleta - Rice - Noble - Cresswell Snodgrass - Haller - Fornals Subs: Martin, Cardoso, Sanchez, Lanzini, Ajeti, + 2 of the U23s This has got to be one of the least inspiring sides we have ever put out...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

Barkley would definitely give us more options in CM. Being able to select 3 from Rice, Fornals, Barkley, Noble & Snodgrass should give us enough options for now. It would also mean that we would have someone who could carry the ball out of midfield. The glaring hole is still RWB, unless Moyes is pla...

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Arsenal :Match thread (9/12)

Ogbonna & Cresswell were the only ones who came out of that with any credit. Snodgrass should not be playing on the right of midfield - all he does is try to cut back onto his left. Anderson slows everything down and appears scared to run at players. Fredericks & Masuaku are not premier league stand...

Re: West Ham United v Tottenham Hotspur: Match Thread 23/11/2019

It was a funny game. Until the first goal I thought we were very much in the game and could actually have been ahead. Anderson should have done far better when Noble released him with the Pirlo-esque outside of the foot pass. Sadly that move summed up Anderson and Haller’s contribution to the game. ...

Re: January

TTS - couldn't agree more.

Replace Sanchez, Wilshire & Fornals with Kouyate and Behrami and we would be far far stronger and probably even financially better off!

Re: January

I'm probably going to get slated for this, but in my view, the biggest problem isn't actually necessarily CM, it is that we are stuck in between 2 systems / formations and don't seem to be making either one work and this is down to both how we are trying to play and that we do not have the necessary...

Re: The KUMB.com 'best XI'

Only change I would make is Hartson in for Tevez.

Tevez was a world class player, but had less than a dozen good games for us - I never understood how he won HOTY.....

Re: Pablo Fornals

I feel sorry for Fornals. He has been brought in either as a CM or a #10. However most of the time he has spend on the pitch he has been playing as a wide AM. He is one of the stars of the Spain U21 team, so there is clearly a talent there. We should just put him in the position that he is going to ...

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Sheffield United: Match thread (26/10)

I'd make a few changes as try to shake things up a bit: Roberto Fredericks Diop Ogbonna Cresswell Rice Noble Yarmolenko Fornals Snodgrass Haller Tell Fornals to get close to Haller whenever possible. Snodgrass & Yarmolenko are both prepared to get stuck in which we will need against SUFC, so they ca...

Re: Cresswell or Masuaku?

Happy to see Cresswell get an extension, but am surprised by the length of the extension. I think that this shows that LB is not an area that will be upgraded in the next 2/3 windows. It also gives Pell a good period to see whether Johnson is going to make it at this level, and also which side of th...

Re: ⚽ Aston Villa v West Ham United: Match Thread

Thought Fabianksi, Rice, Fredericks & Haller all had really good games. Lanzini was good in patches and is clearly coming back to full form and fitness. Only real disappointments were Anderson who refused to take on the full back and Yarmalenko who just doesn't look fit yet. Fornals looked good when...

Re: ⚽ Newport County v West Ham United: FL Cup Match Thread

Job done. A poor 2-0 win definitely beats getting knocked out by lower league opposition. Not many positives, however: Roberto looked good Wilshere & Sanchez both played well in the 2nd half Fornals & Wilshere both getting off the mark Negatives: Our crossing is absolutely woeful Zabaleta looks shot...

Re: ⚽ Newport County v West Ham United: FL Cup Match Thread

Only real positives from that first half are Anderson (who is clearly a cut above anyone else on the pitch), Roberto looking pretty solid and Wilshere getting his goal. The rest of the team look poor - hopefully the goal will settle the nerves and players like Fornals can get into the game a bit mor...
