Re: West Ham United -v- SC Freiburg - 2nd leg match thread - 14.03.24

Think Antonio is the right move to start tbh. He will get us upfield easier as Moyes won't want to over commit to early. If we can get the Fab 3 near him so he isn't trying to hold the ball isolated. The key is getting him subbed when needed also. Also he won't be on the pitch if it goes to pens. I...

Ironing Board wrote: Thu Mar 14, 2024 5:08 pm We can switch to the late Burnley system if we need to later in the match with fresher legs. Also, Ings will surely be motivated to prove Villa wrong too.
It’d be nice if we didn’t have to go 2-0 down before reverting to that system though !

Maybe. Surely he could manage an hour tonight then an hour on Sunday though ? I actually see Antonio able of causing more problems than Ings against Villa

Thought Ings done well on Sunday, looked hungry to be involved and worked hard, would’ve started him ahead of bringing on Antonio as an impact sub in the second half

Some of you were mentioning the other day how Soucek was actually doing the Captains job.

Looking forward to this but if its disappointing I can always laugh at who loses the 4.30 game :smiler:
Good luck with that cos there isn’t one :P

Re: West Ham Utd V Burnley: match thread - 10.03.24

We should win this one quite easily..Burnley like to try and play and that will suit us perfectly.Anything other than a 3 -0 or 4-0 win today I'd be surprised. They will try and come at us and wecwilllll pick them off.it suits Moyes game . I dont think wexwill be **** housing a:win today. So you’re...

If it was scoring the winner against us then maybe, but he’s not exactly done that. You’re clearly ‘one of them...

Re: January transfer window

Steidten is just an employee, just like Moyes. Everything they do has to exist within the parameters and framework set by the ownership, whether the outcomes are good or bad. But not ‘just’ employees. They are the ones, especially Tim as he’s the one flying here there and everywhere, to sell the cl...

I don’t know how people still love Soucek. He’s a terrible footballer. He gives me hope I could play PL football. If we played with a ball-playing midfielder we wouldn’t have to worry about the 90 minute winners.. I don’t think anyone comes out with any credit from this game. Good finish from Bowen...
