Re: Protests against the board being planned

This nonsense again? If Noble goes anywhere near the keyboard that produces that column each week, I'm your Auntie Bess. Any money he sits down with someone from the media team for 30 minutes after training on Wednesday and fires out some bland sentences to even blander questions that then get writt...

Re: Welcome (again), Darren Randolph

Since he was allowed to leave Brum in 2015 This is simply not true. Under the radar Randolph has shown that he's in this for £££ as much as the sport. Ran his contract down at Charlton and jumped to a first team role in the SPL for more money. Ran his contract down at Motherwell and jumped to a fir...

Re: 2019/2020 Relegation Thread

We're not going down. It might go down to the final 2/3 games as I don't see somewhere we can go on a run and pull ourselves out of the dogfight completely but all Moyes needs to do is get the team finding some semblance of form at home and we'll be fine. Everton, Bournemouth, Burnley, Southampton, ...

Re: Sheffield United v West Ham United: Match Thread

With the three at the back hopefully a fixture, and Rice playing deep,Antonio in some kind of right wing back position should be a consideration. Tried and failed in the past, but from what we know now of Antonio's strengths and weaknesses would be a good fit imo. To be fair, Antonio as a wing back ...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

Which is fine. But you've got some very different central midfielders in there. For example. If you're first choice is Noble and Rice, but Rice gets injured, are you going to replace him with Lanzini? Would you be able to play the same way and style of defensive and attacking football that you woul...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

I would say my first and last lines apply to both players. Rice Noble Lanzini Snodgrass Wilshere Coventry Any fancy a game? Fine, see who gets here first out of Josh or Carlos. Would be my order of preference for the central midfielders we have under contract (assuming certain people can get fit eno...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

Josh Cullen is not the answer to any problem this team has at the moment. He's had two good seasons in League One and has been serviceable in the Championship in bad teams. He's also at a point now where Billic and Pellegrini have had 5 full pre seasons to look at him and sent him off on loan and Mo...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

We need the experience right now which Allen has, whilst Fernandes would be another one of Sully specials for the future Keeper wise strange to back and pay £4M for a 32 yr old that you got rid a few years back, is it a case of he knows the club and we have him on the HR database ! Fabianski, Marti...

Re: FA Cup 4th Round draw

Tickets will be cheap. There's three home games in the PL within a week either side of it. By my reckoning, the draw guarantees at least five lower league teams in the last 16. Everton 18th Leicester 22nd West Brom 25th(ish) Liverpool 29th Brighton 1st Going to need some careful management of the l...

Re: FA Cup 4th Round draw

Indeed they did. Twas my son's first ever away day and a day to forget. Couple of fatal car crashes en route meant we were so late we listened to the first two goals in the car! When we finally got let in it was half time and when the third went in I nearly said let's go but held on til the fourth ...

Re: Sheffield United v West Ham United: Match Thread

As long as they don’t have an electric paced left winger, Zaba will be absolutely fine. Even then, the roasting he got from Newcastle wasn’t helped by Pellegrini's high line defence tactic. If Moyes goes with 3 centre backs again, Zabaleta will also have Diop 10 yards closer to him than either cent...

I can't stand his music, so it might be clearly referenced in the song but what is "that", which Meat Loaf won't do for love? Lie. He says it in the opening lines. I would do anything for love I'd never lie to you and that's a fact But I'll never forget the way you feel right now Oh no, no way And ...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

Just read that Stoke have lost £80m over the last two years! Should mean Butland and Allen are definitely out this month. I know Butland has by all accounts been poor since they went down but someone has to have a crack at him? Still only 26, 150 appearances in the Prem. For context, it took Tom Hea...
