Re: The Champions League Final
Why would anyone think Liverpool fans would print fake tickets and then travel to Paris to jib in? It's simply quite unbelievable. No doubt any investigation will point the finger at Liverpool fans. I just hope they take it to court to clear their names of any wrongdoing. Can't recall exactly what ...

Re: The Champions League Final
Ancelotti's sixth European Cup/Champions League as a player and manager. Eight league titles in five countries and a shelf full of domestic cup competitions as well across 46 years. Has to be up there with the greatest football career of all time? Can only really cap it by winning something with the...

What the hell did I just see? Tront losing a player behind him in a dangerous area?

Re: The Champions League Final
I also loved the way he started his view of the incident: "Well it's quite simple really........". Well if it was that simple Peter, how comes it took an age to clear up? We were seeing exactly the same as the VAR guy. The reason it took ages is that it took them ages to get to the replay...

Re: The Champions League Final
How anyone can say that wasn't a deliberate touch by the Liverpool defender is beyond me. People can agree with the interpretation or not but once the refs have decided the first touch from Konate is a block and the second is not deliberate from Fabinho then there's no choice but to give Benzema of...

Fabinho's touch isn't deliberate so it's not offside.HammerMan2004 wrote: ↑Sat May 28, 2022 9:24 pmIt’s come off two Liverpool players. That’s a disgraceful decision.

Morocco have a game against USA in Cincinnati on Wednesday. I'd imagine nothing will be heard on Aguerd until after that.
Even then he can't actually sign until 1st July so it may be weeks.

From a national security aspect he's gleaming, I mean he's hardly likely to be blackmailed into something nefarious when it's open knowledge that he's already done everything blackmailable.......... You say that but aren't financial issues one of the biggest red flags that come up when looking into...

Imagine if all the whinging thieves end up with are two trinkets they look down their noses at from the start of every season? Beautiful end to a brilliant season.

Re: The Johnson Government 2019-202?
Boris Johnson has watered down the ministerial code and blocked a bid to give his ethics advisor the power to investigate him. Just days after Sue Gray’s report slammed No10’s leadership for the “culture” that led to Partygate, the Prime Minister issued a new version of the rules for ministers - al...

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2022.
On another note thats circa £10m a year off the wage bill which is a sizable chunk of money. It's a good point. Yarmolenko/Fredericks/Martin out and Lingard/Ashby/Trott in would probably only add about £10-20k per week to the first team wage bill. Shows why the concern about any potential wages off...

Re: Welcome Tomas Soucek
A defensive midfielder with Rice and Soucek ahead would have next to no creativity. We'd be completely reliant on wide players for creativity, as we are now. That would make us easier to defend against... and I think that's also whats starting to happen now. We need to be more threatening centrally...

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2022.
I'd be promoting Trott to David Martin's place. Trott is 23 now. Anang can't be returned from loan until November 2022. Conor Coventry is returning from loan too, although he is an Irish U21 international - i dont know if that counts as Home Grown. He is 22. Forgot all about Coventry. Been with the...

Randolph, Johnson, Dawson, Cresswell, Rice, Bowen, Antonio
Trott or Anang would take us to 8 if they take Martin's spot as the 4th choice keeper.

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2022.
I missed the Watkins/Defoe debate last night. Some numbers... Watkins was 24 at the start of the 20/21 season. Since then he's scored 25 in 72 PL appearances. Defoe was the same age at the start of the 06/07 season. Over the next 2 seasons he scored 22 in 72 PL appearances. Over his career (ignored ...
