With Alvarez missing, it would be great to get Paqueta central to match the energy of that midfield 3 from Newcastle.
Perfect chance to give Beni or Fornals a much needed start out wide.

Re: Newcastle Utd v West Ham Utd - Match Thread
My only previous visit there was pretty memorable, just after the Millenium. A travel agent in Plaistow sold 50 packages to supporters which included a match ticket, the hotel where Newcastle had their pre match meal and a private flight with the squad up from Stanstead's business flight terminal. ...

Re: Season ticket renewal 24/25
Email I've received says renewal by June 3rd - where are people seeing May 31st? I was told May 31st on the phone. Wouldn't be surprising if the guy was wrong though, felt more like a random Ticketmaster agent than someone dedicated to questions about West Ham. Edit: https://whufc.freshdesk.com/sup...

Re: Season ticket renewal 24/25
This seems stupid....
Renewal window is open until May 31st.
If you want to move your seat then this can be done after June 1st.
However to be able to do that you have to have renewed by the 14th April.

Re: England -v- Brazil & then -v- Belgium
Saka always struck me as a bit of a flat track bully of a player. So much of his game is based on pace and getting into the box, cutting onto his left foot and smashing it past the keeper. If plan A isn't working, like it often doesn't against the best teams, would Waistcoat have the b*llocks to ho...

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2024
We have the numbers without Fornals, Benrahma, Kehrer - imo. Replace the players in italics. I'm not seeing much to suggests he trusts any of those in italics or red. Including making Phillips one of his bigger money signings this summer. I don't think we'll see the wild numbers of signings some ar...

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2024
I don't think we do, TBH. They, and Kehrer, were superfluous, imo. Moyes needs 20 senior players who he trusts, rather than 23 with 8 or 9 who he doesn't. The academy should be providing players 21-25 in the PL set up. Given we've had to use Ben Johnson in midfield in recent weeks for minutes Forna...

Tories have released another US politics style video about the destruction of Birmingham. If this is their plan then the general election is going to be fun.

Otamendi (34), Tagliafico, Vida, Lovren, Di Lorenzo, Emerson. All unremarkable defenders at club level have played in recent international finals. We don't have to be perfect at the back, just good enough to let the front 6 live up to their potential. I don't see that a back 4 of Walker/Stones/Magui...

Re: ✍ Welcome, Jarrod Bowen
Really unfortunate there was VAR last night. That 'goal' would have given him some much needed headlines to help him get on the plane. As it is, all the post-match talk is about Bellingham being the star man (fair enough) and Mainoo, because he's so young and played well. I might have been focusing...

Didn't see this footage yesterday. The sheer size of the ship is ridiculous. Backs up PPs post yesterday, that bridge never had a chance!

Re: The kids are all right
It's a pretty dishonest interpretation of his comments. The above is too strong. I think the original post was just a harsh reading of the comments rather than being dishonest/biased. “First of all you have to have seen enough of them to think that they’re ready to train and play for the first team...

"no-one is finally dead until the ripples they cause in the world die away" Regardless of how I felt about the site, I hope it runs on for him. RIP Hugh. Would often catch him travelling back to Devon on the train after games. The Ancient Egyptians believed we all die twice. First, when w...

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2024
How is he with his back to goal? Can he run the channels? Does he get into the box quickly after laying it off to a runner? Lovely if he's got a great #skillz compilation on Youtube but we thrive with a guy playing centrally who can do all of the traditional number 9 stuff despite having an aversion...

Re: Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeit
Having seen the footage, I’ll be shocked (though obviously pleased) if there’s no fatalities. Either way somebody is going to have a lot to answer for Emergency services saying that 7 cars ended up in the water. Even in the early hours of the morning that seems remarkably low given it spans almost ...
