Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

Regardless of how much the Chairman tells his friendly press contacts "he" has spent, it's irrelevent. We sit outside of the drop zone on GD. We have to play Liverpool on Wednesday night, and face Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday. Eevn if a player was signed by Weds morning is he likely to start...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

How would the new BCFC have a shock after purchasing the club? Surely there was DD, and if hidden, our little dildo would have been in the high court faster than he could have shouted pvc. Well, you say that PF, but when Gold and Sullivan bought WHUFC, they didn't undertake DD. Clearly stated to my...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

Anyway, as I say, it's all speculation until we see the books, and even then, I suspect the section marked "post balance sheet events" will be where the action is.

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

Pinky, isn't that pretty standard practice. Or are you saying we haven't started paying for them yet? The problem is the players we buy that are sold for less before we have paid for them. Sammy, as far as I understand it we can agree to pay for players when we see fit - it's a matter of the buying...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

Pinky - I don't think so. Their shareholder debt remains at 40m quid. This is what is maturing in June 2020. Player purchases are spread over life of contract in the books as I understand it, you can't hide this or change accounting practices as the auditor would pick this up. Pezza, the point is, ...

Re: The January Transfer Window 2020

I wonder how much money we still owe to other clubs for players signed in the past 18 months ? I wonder whether our wage bill has really shrunk to the extent many seem to believe it has ? If only the club ould publish the accounts for the 2018/19 season we might have a better idea. What is Sullivan ...

Re: Sunday Supplement

The polls on here were often in favour of the move. If the fans were unanimous in opposing the move it could have made a difference. The owners conned thousands You can fool some of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time but you can't fool all of the people all of the time....

Re: Security checks means I'm missing kick off

Seems a small price to pay a bit of security .. annoying yes didn't even know about it when we arrived yest but that's why you allow plenty of time Utter tosh I'm afraid. If I was of criminal intent I would visit the island the night before the game, stash my tactical nuclear ( suspect) device in a...

Re: Security checks means I'm missing kick off

I left a complaint to Jake Burns but don't expect much. What we really need is an Alternative security check. :D Seriously, I find the entire security check to be offensive - can you imagine the backlash if Westfield shoppers were searched and wnded before being allowed to go in to the shopping cen...

Re: Sunday Supplement

They had one of my tweets on screen, making it clear the discontent is not about results, but about the unmitigated disaster that has been the ground move.

Matt Law absolutely caned the owners, he's grasped the scale of the issue.

Re: David Sullivan - Has he taken us as far as he can ?

Does the purchase price drop if we don't come back up Pinky? Who knows ? Were I selling the cub I'd try and set a price based upon league position, equally were I buying it I'd do likewise.....it makes sense as they would be some correlation between league position and the real value of the squad a...

Re: David Sullivan - Has he taken us as far as he can ?

Do you reckon this bloke is hovering in the back ground waiting for them to mess up big style and then grab the club for a song? No, I don't. FWIW I reckon Sully already has his buyer lined up and price agreed. He will, in my opinion, already have a clear timetable and exit plan. It's possible Trip...

They could easily put it back in Pinky if that were the case (but won't).

I'm not sure that's the case.

They would need to agree, Sullivan, Gold and Tripp Smith.

Re: David Sullivan - Has he taken us as far as he can ?

Supporters are probably wondering why the club has still not published the financial accounts for the 2018/19 season. The transfer window slams shut in 6 days time. We seem unable to get deals that actually involve paying money , now, for players. Perhaps these things are all interrelated. Have the ...

Re: More free travel - Liverpool/Newcastle/Man Utd

Is this down to Hammers United? I think it's fair to give them credit for this. A well organised peaceful static protest that had 2,000 at showed the club this was not 3 keyboard warriors in a broom cupboard. Supporters have legitmate grievences and the Hammers United team have done a good job brin...

Re: West Ham United v West Bromwich Albion: FAC4R Match Thread

Regardless of whether it's kids for a quid, the supporters who have paid money and who will give up their time to attend deserve to see a game of football between two full strength teams. It shouldn't matter that the Baggies are pushing for top flight status, or that we are desperately and pathetica...
