Re: Season ticket renewal 24/25
A ticket in the 1966 stand is roughly the same location as an old band 1 at the Boleyn. 2015/16 i think we paid £895, maybe a little less. Now, for a similar view/ location its £1,445. So roughly 60% increase since the move. Every club is at it to a greater or lesser extent. Correction, every Englis...

As sad as it is for the few families concerned, to have such a low death toll is remarkable. Thousands of tonnes of steel and concrete falling 40 yards in a split second, the workers on the bridge would almost certainly be dead before they hit the water. For the ship not to capsize was incredible, a...

Re: Season ticket renewal 24/25
Ours and other clubs will squeeze and squeeze, mainly because they know supporters have got the money. Everything we enjoy is too expensive in our opinion, football, beer, fags, drugs, holidays, travel etc but they know we can find the money for 7 or 8 European trips a year where the ticket price is...

Meanwhile, back in the real world, the Conservative and Unionist party have managed to shuffle through roughly another trillion pounds of taxpayer and borrowed money in the past year.
Can anyone see what on ?
Seriously, where have they spent it ?

Bowen looked like he belonged at international level last night, I thought he was excellent. That Mainoo is going to be some player, fazed by nothing and wants to go forward. The defence though... Stones is decent, but that seems to be it. Centre back is a massive problem, and you can see why South...

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2024
I think there are a number of variables that will impact any transfer activity. In Europe, or otherwise? If in, which competition? If out, who will the Manager be ? Tim, in or out ? Composition of the Premier league ? City, in or out, Everton, in or out ? Then we have the Euros, for which the Golden...

Bowen did himself proud tonight.
England though have real problems at CB, and with huge regret, were i Southgate i would be asking Declan to drop into the backline. His one major deficiency for that job probably matters less at international football than it would in club football.

When the bridge was built the worlds largest container ships carried 1500 twenty foot equivalent containers. The MV Dali had a capacity of 9,900, and weighed around 92,000 tonnes. The largest container ships can now carry over 24,000 teu's, and weigh around 240,000 tonnes. 100,000 tonnes moving at 9...

Re: The Summer Transfer Thread 2024
Interesting that Ipswich Town are the first club to publish their accounts showing how much headroom they have under PSR rules. Were all clubs to do the same it may dampen the transfer market somewhat. Villa, Chelsea, Arsenal, Wolves, Everton, Fulham, Palace, Newcastle Forest......maybe one or two o...

The pilage of Everton will be fun to watch in the summer.
I expect Spurs will swoop for Onana and Braithwaite.
Pickford, too, is unlikely to fancy life in the Championship.

Re: England -v- Brazil (C4 from 1900)
The point about Southgate's team losing almost every game against decent opposition is a fair one. International football is mostly garbage, and if FIFA rankings were league positions we spend a lot of time playing lower division / non league standard opponents. It's worthless as a means of crediti...
