Re: ⚽ Manchester City v West Ham United:Match thread (19/02)

Considering some of the training Vids of Moyes I’ve seen, His West Ham team really have no idea how to press. Our press looks all over the shop. I appreciate how he set up trying to stifle Man City, but we sat so deep and narrow. We let them pick the pass they wanted because we sat off them. Masuaka...

Re: ⚽ Manchester City v West Ham United:Match thread (19/02)

Not our best performance but I think the centre backs and Rice can hold their heads up high. I'm also more enthused about Bowen now. Clearly got a very good burst of short distance speed - absolutely critical for a goalscorer. It'll all be grand by the end of the season. Chin up everyone. we...

De bruyne showing what being a proper footballer having drive and determination is all about. Running all the way back to stop Antonio. Our lot haven’t got his skill, but neither do they have his work rate and energy.

Good to see Bowen on.

Re: Why modern football is broken beyond repair

What would be more boring is not having the ability to at least try and have a go at the big boys every year. Take the top teams of England out and you instantly loose some excitement. We all know for example that we’re going to get a thumping on Wednesday from Man City, but we have hope. They have ...

Would have loved Paolo here as manager.

Debate his managerial skills as much as you want but he cant be much worse than the current one and at least he is a modern club legend.
Really? I love Dicanio but that’s just madness.

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

Surely comparing our last seven games to Everton’s only has substance if we’ve played the same teams? Besides the fact the situations are completely different. Everton already have that belief in themselves and as other have pointed out do have a better squad. Our lot have the mentality of loosing b...

Re: ⚽ Manchester City v West Ham United: Match thread (09/02)

I am one of the more blindly optimistic posters on here. I like Moyes and think he'll do a decent job in the long term. I think Bowen was an outstanding signing and will hit the ground running. And I think we'll escape relegation and stay up. But even I don't think we're going to win today. Not a c...

Re: ⚽ Manchester City v West Ham United: Match thread (09/02)

I’ve woken up optimistic this morning, blind obviously, but there it is, we’re West Ham, blind optimism is all we have! I’ve just got a feeling we’re going to get something out of this. Team wise I’d like to see the following Fab Fred Diop Ogbonna (c) Cresswell Rice Soucek Snodders Anderson Antonio ...

Re: Possible Takeover Bid ?

Whilst I’m not a fan of GSB, what are the other alternatives? Serious alternatives that would even want to buy us. Would we want a Saudi? Would we want someone with even less of a soul? The only positives I can take from from GSB is they’re British, and to swim degree they have a affinity with the c...

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

That works both ways as IB is intent on proving. Just as no matter what Moyes does some will never take to him & those who like him act as if he cant do any wrong and nothing is his fault. IB and his posts have nothing to do with debate, it's just a "Wind Em Up and Watch Em Bite" Account. Even for ...

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

It’s not just ironing board that is posting Pro Moyes posts, others are too. It’s all healthy debate isn’t it? I actually enjoy IB posts. He seems a well educated and well balanced poster. He’s posts have valid points. The trouble is most people don’t like nor want Moyes. The other point is that onc...

Re: ⚽ Manchester City v West Ham United: Match thread (09/02)

We will undoubtedly be getting an almighty hammering here. This fixture could actually be the one that defines the season. If we do get the beating we all think we’re going to get, it could well tip us over the edge and we will just plummet. Any kind of result though could see us finally gain the gr...

Re: Anthony Scully

Bit of a weird one this. His dad is a friend of a friend, had been recently told he’ll get a **** in the first team any time now and that he has a big future at West Ham. Could’ve all been flannel I suppose, but something doesn’t add up here. Maybe it’s as simple as him wanting out though? Yeah I’m...

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

Good posts, Clydebuilt. I don't have a coaching badge. But I have played the game to a decent youth level and have watched it all my life. I've also worked in all sorts of shark invested waters for 30 years and have learned to recognise honesty when I see it. To this end, I think Moyes is an honest...

From what I’ve seen and read I really like the look of the lads attitude. He’s hoping he does well, he’s the right age and bang in form.
