Re: ⚽ Newcastle Utd vs West Ham Utd: match thread

The thing I don’t understand with Noble, is that surely as an experienced player, he could recognise in the first half that he needed to move the ball quicker? I understand that at his age getting round the pitch he is going to be fairly slow, but what was stopping him dilly dallying less and movin...

Re: ⚽ Newcastle Utd vs West Ham Utd: match thread

Disaster of a game really. Although it’s not over it’s going to be difficult now I feel to get into the top four. Having said that it is typical West Ham to lose to Newcastle in their current position and then go and beat Chelsea. If we do get a result at Chelsea anything is possible. Personnel chan...

So glad he'll be here next season.

Bit harsh really. He’s played two really good games in a row. A few loose passes but mostly a very good replacement for Dec. I’ve said for a while he needs to play when Dec and Souchek can’t, not with them.

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

 That is scandalous. He's my manager of the season by a country mile. Nobody even comes close given the limited choices (thanks to our owners) at his disposal. I guess it just depends on how many trophies Pep wins. But if Moyes gets us over the line and into the Champions league he bloody we...

Re: West Ham vs Liverpool 31/01/21 4.30pm

We need to be careful here and I’m sure Moyes will be. The second we start getting cocky we will get a tonking, and however badly people say Liverpool are playing we cannot forget the quality players they have at their disposal. I do feel confident about us competing though, and that’s the differenc...

Re: ⚽ Crystal Palace v West Ham Utd: match thread

Aside from Antonio’s chances that went begging I thought that was our best performance of the season. To come back like that after conceding early was immense. The fitness and work rate all over the pitch was incredible. We could easily have scored 6 or 7. Delighted with the performance. I thought ...

Re: Mark Noble - West Ham Legend 500 up

On Saturday- 154 passes on Saturday (70 more than any other player) with 96% accuracy. One thing he always has been at the Club, is a consistent pass master. He was my MOM on Saturday. Everyone sees games differently and FWIW I thought Formals was fantastic. But for me Nobes ran the show, he’s pass...

Comedian. Sure. He ran the game, made a lot good passes, kept momentum going, made good tackles and kept the boys going. A typical captains performance doing all the great things that go unnoticed by most people. Benny was great today too, worked really hard and made some fantastic key passes. Real...

Really good to see so many youngsters out there at the end. Valuable game time for them and well deserved. They will take a lot from playing with so many senior players.

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Burnley: match thread 16/01

we played well yesterday. So often with match analysis it’s easy to forget that the opposition are also aiming to stop us playing so to win the game having created multiple chances and not had too many defensive scares is pretty impressive. Think Moyes has so far found a good balance of defensive s...

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Burnley: match thread 16/01

Well another hard fought, well earned point against a bogey team, we seem to be making a habit of this. Well done lads. It’s nice to see some of players getting spoke of a lot by the media, players like Antonio, Soucek, Ogbonna and although Rice gets mentioned, I don’t think he's getting as much of ...

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

I forgot to ask the Moyes groupies, sorry meant IB, what's their thoughts on the win at Everton. Great to see your new Club win, but hard to see your childhood team lose :) Do you celebrate the goal, I wonder ? Also, what if Moyes does move on, because he's truly re-established his stock, will the ...

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

IMHO, I believe a lot of the 'debate' centres around the old chestnut - The West Ham Way. Now this is a problem for most of the 'younger' supporters because to them it remains a wonderful myth unsullied by actual experience. To us old timers, it is not a myth as we actually saw it and experienced i...

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

I agree South and Mike, I remember my conversation with my grandson Christmas 2019. I reassured him we won’t be going down, but in my heart I retained a worry. Christmas 2020 we debated who was better: rice or sourcek and between Benrama and Bowen.? ......can anybody see the difference and subseque...

Re: David Moyes - 18th Permanent Manager of WHUFC

I thought the same shifty. After the Newcastle opener I genuinely thought we were down, I couldn’t see us getting any points after the first ten games. Yet here we are, nearly at the half way point and we’ve managed to get ourselves 26 points on the board. I can’t be anything other than impressed wi...

As good as it can be mate, how's yours been? No, they're ok so far  Yeah pretty much the same to be honest, although in fairness we’re pretty shelved down here in the shires :D Haller is one of the most frustrating players I think I’ve ever seen. If he applied himself, he could be such a good...
