Re: Mike Dean on VAR
Genuinely, this is the reason I’ve always been a vocal advocate for VAR. Take the hit to the enjoyment of football in general in order to ensure we don’t get ratfucked as a club. Just imagine where we’d have finished with 10 erroneous goals being awarded against us. Any anti-VAR advocates might wan...

Re: Europa League Final
Rice and Dawson, both make the Europa League team of the season. https://i.postimg.cc/KztpWVcP/Screenshot-20220520-121828-Instagram.jpg Pity they chose a formation without fullbacks. Cresswell misses out, or is he suspended for the Team of the Season? Actually, how long is his suspension? An...

Re: Gambling shirt sponsor ban incoming
It's the adverts on telly for numan. I do feel uncomfortable around the youngsters when it comes on. Ah yeh, while I don't specifically know those ads, I cringe at certain things like when the kids are in the room. I should point out that my original comment was just in jest. And if anyone does suf...

Re: Leeds & Burnley Threaten Legal Action (Non-WHU)
How does that compare to Chelsea's losses? Hope they see it through, but it would probably be either a token fine (by their wealthy standards) or a points deduction from the following season, pending numerous appeals, etc Problem is, it smacks of sour grapes when only relegated clubs accuse narrowly...

Re: FAC / Weekend's Games
Unfortunately yes Of course all clubs can point to defeats throughout the season that made a difference but Southampton, Leeds and Burnley at home were our real fuck-ups IMHO I don't think any of those results were due to tiredness or fatigue...just us not being switched on defensively and clinical...

Re: FAC / Weekend's Games
This is great. Cheating bastards get a visit from karma. Admittedly I've only seen 15 mins of highlights, but it looked as though Newcastle out-Arsenalled Arsenal - the midfield going in hard and leaving a foot in [usually Xhaka and Partney], Wilson blatantly blocking the goalkeeper from throwing t...

Re: Uncapped Hammers
Yeah, I did think about doing the inverse- surprisingly capped players- with Carlton in mind. But of course, getting capped isn't really about how good you are, it's about the competition. Carlton wouldn't even be considered at the moment. I'm not so sure about that, as a youngster he was very high...

Exciting game, but ultimately feeling disappointed, despite not really believing we had a chance before kickoff.
What has Antonio done to offend PL refs to not get any of these decisions? They don't even give corners when he's involved.

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd vs Manchester City: match thread
Media will be begging for this to be turned around. Ref will be gagging to give Man City a penalty. All part of the Sky 6 narrative. Would have thought they'd want the title deciding on the last day, tbh. That Bowen thought that was a corner, again given as a goal kick suggests Taylor wouldn't agree.

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd vs Manchester City: match thread
Taylor hasn't given us a lot of the little fouls, but he's also not given Man City a couple of big calls he might have. I thought Fernandinho should have had a yellow, didn't see the Bowen card, he didn't give Coufal a card when he might have. After the first goal all the Man City defence was lookin...

No yellow for SPA?
For foul on Antonio that is. Didn't see what happened with Bowen on Grealish cos my stream cut to Spurs game.

Re: ⚽ West Ham Utd vs Manchester City: match thread
problem could be getting the corners in the first place. I can't remember if it was this season or last up at their place, but I think we got one corner all match - Ederson f.a.ked injury twice and was awarded free kicks instead, and one of those was after contact with his own player, iirc. Here we...

Haha, but he was an U21 keeper and highly rated at that level, and an FA Youth Cup winner, before making his Premier League debut as a teenager. A promising start.
He was supposedly close to being called up while at Derby.

He allegedly was overlooked due to negative publicity after the John Spencer incident - and Sky and David Mellor started a media campaign to get him banned.btajim - mcfc wrote: ↑Sun May 15, 2022 1:20 pmPathetic. Would a bald player get the same treatment? Dicks was a hard player!
