Re: Fined and dropped for missing a pen

Interesting to turn it on its head - designated penalty taker gives the ball to someone else - everyone fine with it if he scores - but if he misses...? The example I'm thinking of is of course Nobes early last season handing the ball to Arnautovic - to give him his 1st goal of the season, and a big...

Re: ⚽ West Ham United v Sheffield United: Match thread (26/10)

Having been at the game yersterday, have just watched the highlights - yes we weren't great, but if Snod's late chance goes in off the post, we're celebrating 3 points, the vibes on here would be a lot different - and Fornals ball would be being praised to the heavens as the turning point for him. M...

Re: Hammers on Loan 2019/20

See above Mansfield hat-trick hero - Nicky Maynard - I'd forgotten about him - scored for us in the Championship play-off semi in 2012, then sold to Cardiff, where he had ACL injury almost immediately. Disappointing & nomadic career since, but good to see him having a late revival in fortunes.

Re: Positivity Thread

I know that playing us is traditionally a tonic for ailing clubs - but if we beat Everton next up, we'll (albeit briefly) go either 3rd or 4th (depending on Arsenal's result today). It remains the case that below the top 2 everyone has strengths and weaknesses in significant measure (including us). ...

Give the guy a chance ffs - we have some winnable games coming up let's get behind him and see how he gets on
Absolutely this. None of us are happy about Fab's injury but Roberto deserves and needs our full support.

Re: Season Ticket Cards

Can anyone confirm that Ticket Forwarding was operational as normal for the City match? When I can't attend I usually use TF often via the Match Ticket section on KUMB and I'm slightly concerned that some on this thread suggesting it may have been stopped. Also the T&Cs suggest TF to people without ...

Re: Positivity Thread

Since our last home defeat against Man City - 24th November 2018 - we only lost 2 more at home all season (Watford and Everton), while winning 7 and drawing 3.

I'd take that record over our next 12 home league games.

Re: West Ham's top five longest serving players

Back to long service, Declan joined the Academy in 2014, and signed pro in December 2015 according to Wikipaedia (not sure whether that's right, or the June 2014 quoted on the list). Counting youth teams boosts Nobes' service to 19 years, and for that matter Oxford's to 8 years! So total long "servi...

Yes fair play to him, he's knuckled down and fought for his place.

He even took a shot from outside the area last night.
(not to mention getting booked for a foul)
Even adopted the Arnie arm waving after no-one else pressed up when he closed down the keeper.
Now let's see it every week, even if it's only to be in the shop window.
