Re: Things you did as a kid
Penny for the Guy Yeah as a toddler my older brother would take me out doing penny for the guy in a pushchair. Stick oversized trousers & jumper on me & tie the ends off. Then put a balaclava & mask on me. Seems harsh, but was proper funny when it scared the bejesus out of a few old dea...

Re: Sayings That the Old folks used
An older lady where I work comes out with some that leave us baffled. If two people are talking nonsense its "One is talking about 5h1t, & the other one's talking about eating it" or on a winters day it's "Cold enough outside for a walking stick" WTF? Someone already mentione...

Re: Youthful pranks
Back to school days for these... The old gag of stamping on a ketchup sachet to get someone spattered up the leg was always popular. But near our school there were houses whose front walls were about ankle height, and there was a small drop into the front gardens normally full of bushes behind the w...

Why alcohol makes some people all happy and laxxed and others get all angry. More odd than that is people who say something like "Gin makes me grumpy or rum makes me happy' Alcohol is alcohol & I always think it depends on the frame of mind while you are drinking as to what mood you end up...

I could be here all day with some teacher memories. I'll pick out a few We had the almost obligatory paedo games teacher that paid far too much attention watching us go in the showers. Mr H. Maths. Would physically assault you if you played about in his class, just about stopped short of hitting you...

Going to the cinema for the first time in a long long time today. One of the most traumatic experiences of my adult life. Three traveller families turned up 20 minutes into the film, two of the families had new born babies with them that lasted about half an hour before deciding they wanted to scre...

Another Noah's ark story. Noah is planning for the big storm & explains to his wife how a male & female of each species will be on board. Mrs Noah asks "Well that's all very well, but how are you going to stop the non stop hanky-panky going on?" "Ahh!" Noah says "Wel...

Watched 1&2. Coogan has pretty much got him nailed. Not the most comfortable watch, but it keeps you glued to it for some reason.
Mrs DKF understandably doesn't want to watch any more, so I'll watch the rest before she gets in from work.

I went to the Folkestone exhibition yesterday. The prices the stalls charge can vary something chronic. 2 stalls placed literally back to back had the same 2 car set for sale. One had it marked up at £189. The one behind at £110. Although EBay take the pee re charges, it is a good place to gauge pri...

Re: Replica Shirts
Another shout for the DHGate app. Around £15 for a shirt that you would not know any difference from the 'real' thing. They take roughly 3-4 weeks to arrive, but the savings are ridiculous. Only thing I will say is order a size up from what you normally would
