Re: West Ham Utd v Brighton and Hove Albion match thread

Masuaku, like Antonio should be playing up front/on the wing and nowhere near our defence. That's how you'll get the best out of him. He's an accident waiting to happen at the back

Re: West Ham Utd v Brighton and Hove Albion match thread

The goal is 80% on Diop IMHO Yes, Masuaku shouldn't have played the pass he did [and as mentioned he isn't a safety first, secure type of player], but 99% of the time the CB deals with that and that is the end of the situation. It wasn't exactly that much of a threat when the ball ricocheted back t...

Re: West Ham Utd v Brighton and Hove Albion match thread

tbf, Ogbonna has hardly put a wrong foot this season. He demonstrates lots of leadership generally and is always the most vocal and the main organiser in the back The criticism he is getting is a little OTT IMHO. All players make errors at times, and ****, error riddled goals happen It is Diop who ...

Re: West Ham Utd v Brighton and Hove Albion match thread

Masuaku was brought on because Schelotto (who had just been brought on by Potter) had the freedom of the ground on our right flank and had already made a number of dangerous crosses from that side. Unfortunately Masuaku was an absolute shambles and made zero difference in stopping that outlet which ...

Re: West Ham Utd v Brighton and Hove Albion match thread

Re their second goal...I remember being taught at school 'if in doubt, get it out'. If just one of our defenders took ownership and put the ball in to row z then we might have taken all three points. Exactly this. If one of them had a single shred of backbone and leadership in their body to take re...

Re: West Ham Utd v Brighton and Hove Albion match thread

I'd like to see it again, but I'm pretty sure Fabianski was fouled for their first goal. It looked like a 2 handed push by Murray, but couldn't see it close enough. He was impeded I saw it on the replay. Should have been checked by VAR you've seen these fouls given he has no intention of playing th...

Re: West Ham Utd v Brighton and Hove Albion match thread

The subs killed it? So nothing to do with Fabianski having a rare brain-fart and punching it against Oggies back and it rebounding in for their first, and nothing to do with Diop and Ogbonna making a total hash up of a clearance and gifting them a goal for the second, and nothing at all to do with ...

Re: West Ham Utd v Brighton and Hove Albion match thread

Isn't that down to David "I win football matches" Moyes to address ? We were winning 3-1 and comfortably so despite an attempt to let them back into the game right after half time. Have you watched their second goal? How is it David Moyes fault that 5....YES FIVE....of his outfield defenders conspi...

Agree with all that, but you missed Masuaku off your list.
The worst culprit of them all.
Sorry you're right, thought I'd sacked him for gross negligence already

Re: West Ham Utd v Brighton and Hove Albion match thread

If I was a manager the first thing I'd be saying to any of our players as soon as Schelotto started getting some joy down our right hand side would be: BREAK HIS ****ing LEGS Instead we allow him the freedom of the Toilet Bowl to put in cross after cross. Masuaku did **** all defensively when he was...

Re: West Ham Utd v Brighton and Hove Albion match thread

In his post match interview Moyes said we were tired from the Liverpool game and then that we’d probably used too much energy in the first half today so the second half was “always going to be tough”. Protecting his players by the sounds of it. If it was up to me I'd be docking a weeks wages from t...

Re: West Ham Utd v Brighton and Hove Albion match thread

outfought and out thought by brighton at home. moyes killed us with the negativity. Stopped reading there. Absolute b*llocks. The players lost the game, plain and simple. 3-1 up and we gift them a howler and it goes from there. His subs at 3-3 weren't good but dropping 2 points is 100% on the playe...

Re: West Ham Utd v Brighton and Hove Albion match thread

How bad was Lanzini when he came on? So bad. He offers nothing he's a weakling pushover on the pitch and we need players like Snodgrass who are up for the battle and will fight for everything. Moyes got the subs wrong bringing on Lanzini and Fornals we needed pace up top with Ajeti. Haller just doe...

Re: West Ham Utd v Brighton and Hove Albion match thread

We need to bring in a squad psychologist at this point. It's fast becoming Self-Harmers Utd

All we're watching now is a group of mentally weak and fragile players crumbling under the pressure

Timely reminder of when posters on here turned their nose up at Adama Traore.
What a player, and still young. Wolves are everything we are not. Real joy to watch

Re: Leicester City v West Ham United: Match Thread

Lanzini doesn't seem to be a premiership player any more. And Cresswell shown up massively for what he is today also. The stench of relegation looms strongly over this side

4 extra mins on the clock and they score in 4:21 mins...cool.
